Guest guest
My two boys both came down with a very strange virus last week. My wife had posted about numerous canker sores they had while sick. Everything cleared up nicely, and much of the advice given here helped. We used OLE & Virastop to help with the virus. I also gave GSE drops & OOO drops in capsules too. The strange thing is, the last few days of their illness (they were sick about one week), my one son who usually acts a bit aggressive was as tame as a lamb. He was alert, responsive, well behaved and so calm! Then slowly but surely as the cold/virus disappeared, some of the old aggressive, attention seeking behaviors returned. Also, despite the fact I have given several things to help, he is terribly constipated (or very stubborn). I know this is an usual post, but why would almost all the " negative " aspects of his behavior disappear while sick? I know OLE can stir up his yeast, so I have still been giving the GSE and OOO. How should I start to incorporate probiotics and should I stop the GSE & OOO? I know this is a lot of questions, but for a short amount of time we had our boy " back " . We just want him to be like that all the time. Thank you again, Mike
Guest guest
Mike, My son also gets remarkably better when he has a fever and somewhat better while sick with no fever. I don't know why but I sure wish I could get the same results with some combination of supplements. I think others in the group have similar experiences with fevers/behavior. Guest guest
Dana often says this is what is seen when the virus enters the brain. I know she has more about this on her website called Danasview. I cant remember the exact website, Dana, can you tell us where Mike would find this info? Thanks and HTH. Guest guest
My son was sick the week before Christmas with fever around 103 with no other symptoms, so I waited on taking him to the dr assuming it was viral (and it was) and treated it myself with Virastop, OLE, OoO and ibuprofen while he slept (bad mama)He was so calm, talkative, cuddly, funny, conversational......then nearly all of it was gone again when the virus was over. I like to think of those as proof he is still in there, and why I am fighting so hard to get him back. If only I could induce a fever without him feeling bad..... As I was cuddling him I said " poor is sick " He got a concerned look on his face and said " No poor, Happy " then he got a couple inches from my face and with the sweetest grin said " Content " (yes, he knows that word at 4!) Guest guest
> My two boys both came down with a very strange virus last week. My > wife had posted about numerous canker sores they had while sick. Canker sores are generally caused by herpes virus, and lysine will eliminate that. >>The strange thing is, the last few days > of their illness (they were sick about one week), my one son who > usually acts a bit aggressive was as tame as a lamb. For my son, this meant the virus migrated into the brain. It was no longer causing " typical virus symptoms " , it was now causing behavior symptoms [and sometimes other problems also]. >>Also, despite the fact I have given several > things to help, he is terribly constipated (or very stubborn). Viral die off [and overgrowth] tends to cause a lot of yeast, and yeast tends to be constipating. Try increasing the yeast protocol. >>I know > this is an usual post, but why would almost all the " negative " aspects > of his behavior disappear while sick? When sick, the body is fighting off the virus. Once the virus migrates into the brain, the body stops fighting it off. Dana
