Guest guest
Anyone has any idea what the following may indicate? My son passed out some foul smelling watery stool which has a lot of mucus in it. It happened shortly after I gave him some potato crisps. Anyone knows if this is a cause for concern? Guest guest
What color was it? If it was greenish, then it could be food intolerance. Guest guest
Interesting that you said that it happened after eating potato chips. My son just started the specific carbohydrate diet. And what I know realize is that he was highly reactive to complex carbohydrates, starches and grains. He had been having chronic diarrhea, watery stool with a foul odor and mucus for well over a year! But it now appears that his body could just not break down the starch. We saw chronic diarrhea and tons of mucus while he was eating starches, grains (even alternative grains) and complex carbohydrates. Being on the SCD has changed this dramatically.. So my thought is, maybe your son can not break down complex carbohydrates and starches...? Try eliminating these and see if it improves. Guest guest
It would concern me, yes. I don't diagnose but if you're thinking about a dietary change, that's good Duncan > > > From: emilynk.chan <emilynk.chan@...> > Subject: mucus in stool > candidiasis > Received: Monday, 9 February, 2009, 9:45 PM > > > > > > > Anyone has any idea what the following may indicate? > > My son passed out some foul smelling watery stool which has a lot of > mucus in it.
