Guest guest
Hi all Does anyone have any suggestions to aleviate constipation? My 4 year old daughter, who has autism, suffers regularly with constipation and can go 5 days plus without a bowel movement. The doc prescribed lactulose but I recently discovered it contains lactose and as she is dairy intolerent I can no longer give it. We returned to the doc last Friday and have been given Movicol paediatric but it doesn't seem to be having any effect. My daughter is on a dairy free diet, takes EyeQ fish oils, has a probiotic, digestive enzymes and I've tried magnesium - none of which seem to be having the desired affect on her bowels. It's so frustrating and I feel completely useless in knowing what else to do, I've been feeding her raisins and grapes and orange juice but none of it seems to keep her regular. Any suggestions would be very welcome.
