I am taking some Culturelle after joining this site and reading some

related books. I am diabetic with high blood pressure, and post polio

syndrome. I have been experiencing swings in blood pressure and

recently realized how much salt is in processed foods instead of the

salt shaker. So it appears my digestive system has been messed up and

the Culterelle seems to help. In addition to diet changes which

includes 35 grams of protein like chicken and tuna along with fresh

vegetables, my blood sugar seems to be low causing some headaches. My

blood pressure has also stabilized.

My newbie interpretation of what I am reading and experiencing is

that enzymes and possibly hormones might have been

causing my diabetes and

elevating my high blood pressure

as well as causing food allergies.

And they might have caused hyperaldosteronism · Conn's Syndrome and

related problems

or sensitivity to salt intake or vice versa.

Further It is my understanding there is an inverse relationship

between T3 and blood pressure and blood sugar.

My father had an aneurysm and had surgery for it and lived a while

however my paternal grandfather and aunt each died of aneurysms. I

have been checked for enlarged heart and aneurysms but the findings

were negative so far which is positive for me. My Dad thought they

were caused by the high salt content of the salt pork they ate in the

depression and dust bowl days.

It appears though now that they are gone that the ailment might have

been hyperaldosteronism or Conn's Syndrome which is genetic

apparently and/or a digestion problem related to enzymes and

hormones. I have bumped up my K to help this condition also as well

going on low or no sodium diet.

It also appears I could improve enough to over come the fatigue and

fog as well as reduce my prescribed medications.

These efforts might also remedy my ear wax accumulation and bleeding

gums which may be yeast related? I understand there is also a

possible correlation between the gum problem and heart disease?

Does any of this make sense to you! Any ideas or insights?

<<I am diabetic with high blood pressure>>

You might be interested in Russel Blaylock's book " Health and

Nutrition Secrets " . I bought it after reading his " Exitotoxins " book

and read it for the biochemistry information in relation to Autism and

related familiy medical conditions. Along the way I came across lots

of helpful stuff for my father's type II diabetes and high blood pressure.

It's worth a look. You can get it from Amazon.
