I don't think alpha ketoglutarate (sp) is a probiotic. I also

noticed that Dr. Yasko says it is an excitotoxin.

The AKG probably did deal with some ammonia, but from the tone of

your post it seemed you had some doubts about it, so maybe it was

making her more exciteable. Butyrate also helps with ammonia. I

learned about the AKG from Dr. Yasko's site when my daughter was

having problems with it.
