Guest guest
I am so confused with all this information flying around. My son is mostly non-verbal with mild behavior problems, some mild ocd behaviors, tiny bit too active and sleep problems that have been resolved with melatonin. He is in an autism unit getting speech 2 times per week at school. He has floating poo, but no other obvious gut issues. He is gfcfsf and takes coromega fish oil. I need to prioritize what do I need to seek for him. I tried trienza on myslef this weekend with astonishing success so I will be putting him on enzymes as soon as I get some money. We can't afford much. I hear the term yeast protocol and am a little confused by this. I am not willing to cut out all carbs. He eats lunch from home at school, but will not eat if his food is way different from the other kids. I fix whatever the other kids are eating, but make it gfcfsf. I have another special needs child so my time is quite limited. Do you think I should try to get him more speech therapy? Speech is his biggest Everest. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! Guest guest
Hi , 2 books I would recommend: McCandless " Children with starving brains " and Bock " healing the new childhood epidemics " . There is a wealth of info in there. yeast (floating poop) is a major issue in our kids. grapefruit seed extract works best but tastes terrible. for my younger son that cannot swallow capsules - i add oil of oregano or olive leaf extract to his pear juice (pear is better at not feeding yeast). a great site is www.danasview.net, i'd say she's the yeast killing queen! Also, if you aren't already on these groups i would check them out for great biomed info that goes way beyond the names of the groups: GFCFkids and Chelatingkids2. best wishes! > > I am so confused with all this information flying around. My son is mostly non-verbal What my son required for speech is written here http://www.danasview.net/issues.htm >>He has floating poo, but no other obvious gut issues. That can be a sign of improper fat absorption. My son needed mito cocktail before he properly absorbed fats http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm >>I hear the term yeast protocol and am a little confused by this. Info here http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm >>I am not willing to cut out all carbs. It is not healthy to cut out all carbs. > Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy For cleft palate, try giving folic acid. For short stature and low muscle tone, carnitine worked well here. These supps may help your older child also. Dana
