Guest guest
Laurie - I'm no pro at the milk allergy thing, we will be on a trial of it in a month or two and I'll be researching then. I'm going to do enzymes for a couples months before I trial some foods. With dairy, there is two components, caisen and whey. Some can tolerate caisen, others whey. That being said, I've heard, and any one correct me because it has been years, that to try cottage cheese is a good one to try first. Aslo, what about a soy yogurt? My hopes is to get dairy back and life would be so much easier, I so feel your pain! But research that entire milk introduction thing. Maybe you can pinpoint better which part of dairy he can and can not have. Good luck! Tammy Dairy reaction My son went into a major paranoid rage after SCD yogurt made from organic raw local cow's milk. I gave it with the HN peptizyde. The reaction subsided when I gave him another dose of the peptizyde and some Rescue Remedy. Do I try goat's milk yogurt with a double dose of peptizyde? Do I dare to try cow's milk yogurt with twice the peptizyde?or should I bag dairy? He's been dairy free for at least 5 yrs. He has been begging for cheese and yogurt and there are so many foods that he can't have right now. Thanks in advance. Laurie
Guest guest
Either try upping his dose of peptizyde, or bag the dairy all together. Even with 3 peptizyde caps or 9 chewables, my son still reacted to dairy....and gluten. however, enzymes are critical for him even on the gfcf diet. He can have soy, but not all the time. Don't understand that, but if its only 1-2x's p/wk, he seems to be ok. More than that causes aggression. BUt follow the old rule, " If it ain't working, then stop. Guest guest
Hi Debi and Beverly, Thanks so much for the helpful information! Do you know if the enzyme comes in liquid or powder form? She doesn't take pills, and if it's in liquid or powder form I can put it in her smoothie. Beverly, your description of it being a physical pain is exactly what I got from Melody. It just seemed like she hurt all over! I felt so bad for her and helpless....(and tired and frustrated, but that goes without saying!) You guys are great. I really appreciate your help! Guest guest
The enzymes are in capsules that can be broken open & the powder sprinkled in juice or other soft food. You have to shake it pretty good, it tends to want to clump but will dissolve. When we used them we mixed it in her juice cup before school, it is said to stay good in liquids 4-5 hrs.
