Guest guest
I just gave my son his first epsom salt bath last week. I screwed up because I put an entire cup in the water and he sat in it for 20 minutes. That very night and every night since, 4nights. He has had a hard time going to sleep. It is highly unusual for my son to not fall asleep right at tuck in. He used to do this every night before we started feingold. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Could this be the epsom salt bath? Seems like it's lasting a long time. The night after the epsom salt bath we started a round of chelation with dmsa. Could this have added to the problem? I was wondering if this is an allergic type reaction or detox. Any ideas?
Guest guest
Hi, We started with 1/2 cp twice a week at first, then worked up to a cup twice a week. We havn't yet started chelation, but I've heard it stirs up all kinds of things that keep little ones up. I would pull back the quantity of the baths for now, to just 2/week. Maybe supplement with Mag Sulph cream every day - we do and it helps. Hope this helps, Susi

It is highly unusual for my son to not fall asleep > right at tuck in. Sometimes this is caused by too-fast detox. Try 1/4 cup next time, and address any dietary phenols with something like No-Fenol enzyme also. > The night after the epsom salt bath we started a round of chelation > with dmsa. Could this have added to the problem? Yes, chelation tends to increase yeast, and yeast overgrowth can affect sleep. Try increasing the yeast protocol.
