Guest guest
That's interesting regarding the red mark on the upper lip. My son has this two. I've always linked it to his viral titers going up. His behaviors also go south when that happens. Guest guest
Is he on adrenal support? Low adrenal function causes anxiety. He may need some of his supplements back. And he needs adrenal cortex. Chelation can stress the adrenals, so can viruses. My son needed adrenal cortex after about a year of chelation. My older child and I needed it before and in order to tolerate chelation. not sure on the red mark, but it sounds like a cold sore. Lysine can help that. > > With biomedics intervention my son was doing really well with anxiety for the last year or so. Now everything seems to bother him. Guest guest
I second that, something may be in the multi that he is not tolerating. We also had the best results from the food based vitamins/minerals without fillers. Here are some we use: Amla (antioxidant and more) Dailyfoods Vit b complex Grapeseed oil for Vit E Flaxseed oil for omega 3/6 (can't remember which) Twinlabs heavy metal free Cod Liver Oil Cherry flavor Kyodophilus probiotics Kornax Zinc, Iodine NOW cal/mag/vit D powder Epsom salt baths > > > From: Heleni & Nick Babalis <chomedeysaints@...> > Subject: [ ] anxiety level going up ....?? > , chelatingkids2 , , GFCFKids > Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 3:28 AM > > > > > > > > > With biomedics intervention my son was doing really well with anxiety for the last year or so. Guest guest
Really? I am glad to hear we are not alone. Our nutitionist said that it is definetley the toxins coming out and it is a very good sign. I was super worried and after talking to her last night I felt better. Even though his behaviour goes all haywire, we see his speech and many other gains happening. I guess we can't have it all, atleast not so fast. Now everything seems to bother him. Every answer we give him is the wrong answer. The only change was that we stopped a lot of his supps and instead we started the multi vit.'s (Brainchild minerals and vitamins). Do these multis have the same doses of the same ingredients you were giving previously? >>Also, we were told to stop the dmsa for a while to give his body a break. We just finished a round this weekend (he was off for 3 weeks) and he is a total mess. Could this be the reason? Yes, especially yeast overgrowth. Try increasing the yeast protocol and see if that helps. >>Lastly, he has been breaking out with pimples lately and the oddest thing, on one side of his upper lip he has been getting a flat red mark, like a cold sore but not bumpy just red. Guest guest
We did a 7 day round of Cutler at DMSA 25mg + ALA 25mg. Following this round, several behaviors that had been eliminated for nearly a year returned (e.g. curling his fingers, following mama all around the house, anxiety, etc). We stopped the Cutler protocol, and treated for a possible strep/PANDAS scenario. Once things returned to " normal " , we resumed the Cutler protocol. In my view, this was due to the release of a strep bacteria which was previously bound up with heavy metal in a biofilm. Guest guest
Hello I have alwasy suspected PANDAS. However, our nutrinionist/Dandr. doesn't have the means to test him and get him treated! Does this make sense? Can we treat this with biomedics instead of meds? If so, please confirm. tks so much Helen From: A Shadow <penumbraposts@...> Subject: [ ] Re: anxiety level going up ....?? Guest guest
or that your doses are too high. While I don't know the weight of your child or how many rounds you have done. My son did not read this dose until 50 rounds of chelation. We also don't do seven day rounds, because when we tried 4 day rounds the symptoms post round were worse. Some suggestions if you still see problems, lower the dose and try shorter rounds. If your not seeing problems anymore...then disregard. > > > > With biomedics intervention my son was doing really well with anxiety for the last year or so. Now everything seems to bother him. Guest guest
While I did not read all the posts in this thread, I would like to add that anxiety is almost always, always adrenals. With that said, germs can stress adrenals and that will make anxiety. So treating the " suspected " germ or infection will help, if it does not, adrenal support is needed. People with normal adrenal function do not show anxiety signs with illness, so the fact that your seeing anxiety at all indicates a need for adrenal cortex to support adrenal function. > > > > With biomedics intervention my son was doing really well with anxiety for the last year or so. Guest guest
If this is just happening now, in the spring, then histamine could be causing this. Histamine is a neurotransmitter that can cause anxiety among other things. This can happen even if the person has no " normal " allergy symptoms. Cutting back on supps could have aggravated this is if you were doing methylation support and have cut back on that, since methylation is how excess histamine is removed from the blood. -Sierra > > With biomedics intervention my son was doing really well with anxiety for the last year or so. Guest guest
Sierra, What do you recommend using for methylation support. I have a feeling that I am not getting rid of the extra histamine and I could use a little help. Example: I have heard that yogurt and fish are both histamine triggers or that they produce extra histamine, and I used to be able to consume both with no problems. Lately though, I seem to have asthma-like attacks and extreme flushing when I eat fish, cheese, or other foods high in histamine. What can I use to help in removing it a little faster? I miss eating fish. pv > > If this is just happening now, in the spring, then histamine could be causing this. Histamine is a neurotransmitter that can cause anxiety among other things. Guest guest
What do you use for adrenal support and what is your dosage? I found ADRENergize on vitacost. It's 250mg per capsule of adrenal cortex complex, plus 100mg of multi-glandular complex. My older son who is four years old displays this exact behavior. He gets sick and regresses. We are making graet progress with chelation and then he gets sick and all his old behaviors come out. Not quite so bad, but enough to reming you of the bad old days of six months ago. Guest guest
Those symptoms are classic histamine symptoms, and those are high histamine foods alright! You can take SAM-e to help flush it out, start with 200 mg once a day (on an empty stomach), then you can continue to 200 mg twice a day, then up to 400 mg twice a day. You should also be taking a lot of calcium and vitamin C. You may need to do a lot more too, depending on how bad the problem is. If you e-mail me offlist I can send you my notes about what we did.
