My twins have high levels of gut and brain inflammation. I would like to give

them some enzymes to help with this? Is there a protocol like the high dose

Virastop protocol except for inflammation?

Any advice?

Thanks, Dana

Hi Dana,

I'm sure you already know this but it's important to find out what is causing

the gut and brain inflammation. There can be several contributing factors like

yeast, bacteria or food intolerances. Inflammation can result from

insufficiently broken-down food or infections of any kind. If improper digestion

is occurring larger particle sizes from a food can irritate the gut lining.

On page 38 of DeFelice's book Enzymes: Go with your gut it states,

" Besides its role in MT function, research shows the integrity of the gut

suffers when zinc is deficient, including observed increases in inflammation and

ulcers. Fortunately, supplementing zinc enhances cell production in the gut and

facilitates the reversal of intestinal damage. (Duff and Ettarh 2002) "

When speaking with our technical advisor, he recommended taking ViraStop and

Defenze for gut and brain inflammation. Defenze is high in antioxidants.

Antioxidants are excellent for the brain. It's thought that Alpha lipoic acid

actually protects brain cells and glutathione protects and repairs DNA. Many of

the " chemicals " that cause brain issues are oxidants. He also mentioned that

Omega 3's are very beneficial. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask me any

questions.
