When my son was never sick, it meant the cold/flu viruses were just going straight into his brain. Once I started pulling them out and correcting his immune system, he started getting sick. Then, once his immune system was corrected and all the viruses were gone, he would occasionally get sick, but no more than a mild case that lasted 2-3 days maximum. It is possible your child's body is finally starting to try to fight off viruses, rather than allowing them to just go into his brain. Try giving vitamin C to start. Guest guest
We had REALLY good luck when Dana suggested we start Carnitine. Wow. You have to give it with fat and I'm not sure about the dosage for a 9 year old. We give 1000mgs/day. Dana C. -------------- Original message -------------- From: " merchant_darshana " <merchant_darshana@...> hi all i started my son(9 asd) on afp and zp in jan...main reason being not gaining enough weight and seems to have kind of low muscle tone.. at the start of this there were no other health concerns other than the one mentioned(ie weight) but since starting that so far it has not helped with the issue at all...though i have seen gains like he is more social, able to watch other kids and copy them (like when he has to follow school routine etc) he hardly used to fall sick before this and now has fallen ill twice in last 6 months. i read here on this group that not falling sick is bad too and all this time i thought his immune system was good...anyway what does this mean with respect to enzymes??? does it mean they are working..they don't seem to be with weight issue. he is becoming more picky eater than usual..should i stop for 6 months to see what is happening. he is not on GFCF.. i followed the improper fat absorption thread here but the symptoms don't seem to match like wax in the ear and but he is skinny (he is 9 and in april his wt was about 53 lbs) i am getting really confused..any thoughts?? i don't have a DAN doc. the supplements he is on right now afp + zp before meals multivitamins EFAs from nordic naturals any ideas??? TIA darshana
Guest guest
to Dana and Dana thanks a lot for the suggestions..where can I find dosage of carnitine for a 9 year old...also you said to give with fat..does that mean one should give it each time one eats meals with fat? and ,sorry to sound so dumb, but don't most of our meals have some fat in them?? thank you so much again darshana > > We had REALLY good luck when Dana suggested we start Carnitine. Guest guest
> to Dana and Dana > thanks a lot for the suggestions..where can I find dosage of > carnitine for a 9 year old... I started with 250mg and worked up from there. >>also you said to give with fat..does > that mean one should give it each time one eats meals with fat? It is not required to give it with fat, but it does help with the proper absorption of fat, so you would give the fat with the carnitine, not the carnitine with the fat, if that makes sense. > and ,sorry to sound so dumb, but don't most of our meals have some > fat in them?? Depends on what you eat. Dana
