Had the same problem with my son. Unformed and it seemed it was hard for him to

pass his stool even though soft. He would not go for days. We went away and

forgot our enzymes..Thought it was going to be aweful. Beautiful BM's twice a

day. So we have gone back to them but to a very very small dose. Maybe too much,

too long for her?

Hi,

I'm hoping I can get some help. I have been working on my daughter's gut for the

past 4 years and I'm happy to say she's doing pretty well--still some days that

she is off, but much more neurotypical.

BUT, it's still a struggle to get her to poop daily!

We are constantly adding in things in very small doses (that is all she can

handle)--such as probiotics, digestive enzymes, yeast killers, parasite killers,

things recommended by her DAN (carnitine, vits and minerals). She has strong

reactions to all of these (die off or yeast growth, etc.)

Also, the poop is never completely formed.

Does this mean that we still have a ways to go to heal the gut???

ARGHHH, this is so frustrating! !!!!!!!!! !

I wonder if it's become psychological too because to keep asking a child to try

to poop must get very annoying to them.

THANKS!

Same here. Dont get me wrong enzymes are great but we personally found we needed

to lower the amount. I have heard they can cause bm to have more volume at

times. I truly thought we were going to have problems when we forgot to take

them with us. Maybe worth a try lowering the dose for her trial. We tried

magnesium/c with sucess at times but he had mild discomfort after a while of

that.

try magnesium citrate.  I give between 150-180mg 2X each day to my son.  Works

like a charm.

We use Houston Enzymes and found the Zyme Prime, and therefore TriEnza, to be

adding to my sons pooping issues.  We switched to ZyCarb and it was a dramatic

improvment.  So I went back to taking the 3 seperate one.  We still use Triezna

at time for convience (school nurse at school, dinner out) but at home always

use 3 seperate, AFP, No-Fenol and ZyCarb.

HTH.

- what are you using?  We found Zyme Prime to do that, but not ZyCarb.  I

posted to a later post about it.
