Guest guest
My 7 year old's nose is gushing, I'm pretty certain it's allergies, but that's the only symptom he gets, but eventually the drainage leads to a full cold. Anyone have strong views on what's the best? Loratidine (Claritin), Cetrizine (Zyrtec), Claritin D, Mucinex??? Thanks!
Guest guest
Hi My daughter has severe alelrgies. The only antihistamine that works really fast and really well for her is Zyrtec. I use the liquid form, but I think it has Benzoates as a preservative. You could try the tablets if your child has an issue with Benzoates. We have used the other antihistimines you mentioned and none of them worked anywhere near as well. But this could just be a specific thing for my daughter. Kind Regards B. Guest guest
hello just a thought.... What creates mucous can be " excess sugar; which can be hidden sugars in foods; this is because; Mucous is created in the tummy from sugar; so if you want less mucous; a low sugar diet might work; Health Hint: " No artificial sweeteneers whatsover; Molasses and maple syrup are ok; > > My 7 year old's nose is gushing, I'm pretty certain it's allergies, but that's the only symptom he gets, but eventually the drainage leads to a full cold.
