Guest guest
My 6yo son has been doing biomed for one year now. We work with Dr. Pouls, and seeing good things. He is HFA and mainstreamed 1st grade. We just did the neurotransmitter testing and using the Travacor Jr. and Excitacor. So far, we're seeing even more good things, but kicking up some yeast so I'll dial in Biotin. He takes Ness Enzymes, Liver Support, Cal/Mag, Kirkman's ProBioGold (which he did not tolerate for a long time), zinc, and we are casein free. We are also now using Dr. Pouls chelation program, with improvements in sensory issues. But here's the hard part. I've read all about the mito cocktail and " preloading " with EPO. My son has heavy earwax when I give him any oil, and I've tried them all. Then his toes start peeling. If I stop, both symptoms cease. My Hole's Anatomy textbook shows peeling skin as excess levels of Vitamin A. He does not eat fish, liver, milk, eggs or leafy greens, most veggies or fruits, which are common sources of A. I recently added in the L-Carnitine and CoQ10, and tried it with Flax Seed, Cod Liver, Kids DHA, EPO, you name it (all one at a time of course). I still get the same wax and peeling toes. When I increase my dose of oils, I get the same peeling toes effect. SO what am I missing? I've read your site and do not clearly understand " preload " . Does this mean you give it an hour before, for weeks prior, please define this. I'm pulling my hair out here, because my son has the chicken bumps all over his back and begs to be scratched, and the oils clearly have a positive effect on this. I know you also spoke of carotene conversion problems, which is the precursor for Vitamin A. Can this be it? He really doesn't eat much in the yellow or orange category. All thoughts are welcome!
