Guest guest
For us, language came with Ojibwa tea and probiotics (the first things we tried after going the pharmaceutical route). The language " popped " with DMG, but that is when we got echolalia. So, the language wasn't matching an equal cognitive leap. This turned out to be due to the " fog " all his issues had him in, don't get me wrong, it was wonderful to finally hear his voice, he was over 3. However, the " conversations " began after a brief time on Augmenten. We saw regression towards the end of the antibiotic treatment, but Dana was able to educate us on clostridia and pointed us towards Culturelle. My son had such a high clostridia level, which has a byproduct of ammonia, which pickles the brain. So, we use both calcium butyrate to sweep up the ammonia and attack the clostridia, constantly. Everyone has some degree of clostridia, but some of our immune compromised kids have a very nasty case of it. The language, came, without the typical grammatical errors, but, he verbally stims on movies (repeating scenes) when he is going through a cold, or we're not staying on top of his yeast issues adequately. Finding what causes their " fog " is the best way to get language, and every kid is a little bit different. For us, the mb12 shots helped to jump start where he is today; much better eye contact and some one and two word language. I wonder what else can I do to help him in this area. thank you all,

Guest guest
Beyond a doubt, it was Omega-Cure fish oil. We've been posting here about this product recently. Have a look through the old posts and do go to their website: www.omega-cure.com. Within days of starting this product, my mostly non-verbal daughter began requesting things and attempting sentences. We had tried another fish oil before this with absolutely no change in her verbal abilities. It was recommended to me by several other parents with kids on the spectrum. The company is very good, full of amazing folks who really care about our kids.
Guest guest
Here were the biggies for my son: GF/CF diet (later tried enzymes, for him not comparable to diet at all) Treating yeast (Nystatin, then Diflucan, now SCD) Mitochondrial cocktail (see Dana's view website) Anti-virals (virastop and valtrex, now on lysine and SCD) So, in a nutshell, diet, fighting yeast and viruses. mB12 helped too, omega-3s helped too, (I'm going to look into the omega-cure). -Sierra > > Hello, > > My son has a lot of trouble with language, he has reception of basic language and poor expressive language.
