Guest guest
Hi , It could be yeast die off. It could also be phenol intolerance from the GSE and folic acid. My son would be an emotional puddle if I gave him GSE. He gets spacy and very tempermental/emotional with phenols. Try adding no-fenol enzymes with the GSE to see if that helps. As for the food, my kid will eat anything I give him these days as long as its on a veggie chip. We buy the 365 whole foods brand but there is another brand that is exactly the same. The are sort of " cheetos " textured, soft yet crispy , ruffled chips made out of potato, spinach and tomato. They are free of all our sons allergens, especially corn and probably have no nutritional value on their own but I put ground chicken on them, refreid beans, and ground bison. I make little " chip sandwiches " and he gobbles them up. He may get sick of it soon but for now it works. I know it's hard, but if you can, try your best to rotate foods so she dosn't keep increasing food intolerances. Good luck, Dani -- In , " gbrn98 " <gbrn98@...> wrote: > > hi everyone! > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY EMOTIONAL. > crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non-verbal. here > is a list of what she is on. what am i doing wrong?? > > super nu thera (on for about 6 months now) > cod liver oil (since about april) > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to 6 tabs a > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. > i started her on folic acid today (1 capsule in juice) > taurine per DAN (for about 3-4 days now- may stop this because of > behavior??) > GSE (1 drop in am with juice for about 1 week now) > > she has a bowel movement every 3-4 days, but last few have been > formed, not like the smelling liquid ones she used to have. she was > on diflucan for almost 3 months but i didn't refill this time because > it's very expensive and insurance doesn't cover. so , that is why i > started GSE. > any advice would help. i'm trying my best to do gfcf but she is > soooo very picky. she doesn't do milk/soy so i guess it's the gluten > that is hard to avoid. she only eats chicken nuggets or hotdogs. > does anyone have any food advice as well?? > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but are gfcf) > and she doesn't really like them. i'm going to continue to try and > give them to her but i'm willing to sell a few bags if anyone is > interested. > thanks in advance!! > gina >
Guest guest
i forgot to mention that i do give her HNI enzymes with big meals such as lunch and dinner. she has been on that for at least 5 months now (zyme prime, peptizyde and no fenol). i'll start giving her no fenol with her gse and folic acid in the mornings then. do you think yeast die off is the reason for her behavior? should i be increasing anything then?? she won't TRY anything new. > > > > hi everyone! > > > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY EMOTIONAL. > > crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non-verbal. here > > is a list of what she is on. what am i doing wrong?? > > > > super nu thera (on for about 6 months now) > > cod liver oil (since about april) > > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to 6 tabs a > > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. > > i started her on folic acid today (1 capsule in juice) > > taurine per DAN (for about 3-4 days now- may stop this because of > > behavior??) > > GSE (1 drop in am with juice for about 1 week now) > > > > she has a bowel movement every 3-4 days, but last few have been > > formed, not like the smelling liquid ones she used to have. she was > > on diflucan for almost 3 months but i didn't refill this time because > > it's very expensive and insurance doesn't cover. so , that is why i > > started GSE. > > any advice would help. i'm trying my best to do gfcf but she is > > soooo very picky. she doesn't do milk/soy so i guess it's the gluten > > that is hard to avoid. she only eats chicken nuggets or hotdogs. > > does anyone have any food advice as well?? > > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but are gfcf) > > and she doesn't really like them. i'm going to continue to try and > > give them to her but i'm willing to sell a few bags if anyone is > > interested. > > thanks in advance!! > > gina > > >

First, consider yeast overgrowth. > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to 6 tabs a > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. Try dropping this, or increase folic and B12, or try TMG. This also tends to increase yeast. Dana
Guest guest
Hi, Whole foods sells GF Chicken Nuggets, have you tried giving her Goat Milk? my son who stopped drinking Milk at 2 years old, loves Goat Milk we've been giving it to him for approx. 8 months. Guest guest
i have tried the ian's gfcf chicken nuggets but she didn't like them. i understand there are another type of nuggets like the dinosaur ones that are gfcf. i'll try that one. i didn't give her DMG today, but this evening she threw the biggest tantrum during bath. she usually LOVES to take them. could it be her GSE, maybe she isn't tolerating that?? she's only been on that for past week. i just don't know where to go from here. she's really never been like this. > > > > hi everyone! > > > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY EMOTIONAL. > > crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non-verbal. here > > is a list of what she is on. what am i doing wrong?? > > > > super nu thera (on for about 6 months now) > > cod liver oil (since about april) > > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to 6 tabs a > > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. > > i started her on folic acid today (1 capsule in juice) > > taurine per DAN (for about 3-4 days now- may stop this because of > > behavior??) > > GSE (1 drop in am with juice for about 1 week now) > > > > she has a bowel movement every 3-4 days, but last few have been > > formed, not like the smelling liquid ones she used to have. she was > > on diflucan for almost 3 months but i didn't refill this time because > > it's very expensive and insurance doesn't cover. so , that is why i > > started GSE. > > any advice would help. i'm trying my best to do gfcf but she is > > soooo very picky. she doesn't do milk/soy so i guess it's the gluten > > that is hard to avoid. she only eats chicken nuggets or hotdogs. > > does anyone have any food advice as well?? > > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but are gfcf) > > and she doesn't really like them. i'm going to continue to try and > > give them to her but i'm willing to sell a few bags if anyone is > > interested. > > thanks in advance!! > > gina > > >
Guest guest
you know, she did get her hands on some doritos last week...........but could it still be in her system?? so, i should still keep her on GSE? i was going to stop that as well. these " cheetos " i bought are GFCF and they are called tings. she hasnt had one though, won't try it. > > > > > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY > EMOTIONAL. crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non- verbal. > > > > any advice would help. she only eats chicken nuggets or > hotdogs. does anyone have any food advice as well?? > > > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but are > gfcf) and she doesn't really like them. > > > > > --------------------------------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
GSE causes my child to be very emotional ... try giving it along with no-fenol. It is very high fenol .... Sounds like to me your child is eating things that don't set well with her. She is very self-limiting and that is frequently a sign that a child is eating foods that they are intollerant of ... same with the rare bowel movements. It is healthier to have bowel movements at least once a day ... Have you ran food intollerance panels. Even with enzymes there are several foods my son cannot tolerate. Tomatoes, celery, cinnamon, apples.... all cause issues with my child. Chicken nuggets that are store boughten often either have corn or soy in them.... so perhaps since this is what your child wants to eat frequently, perhaps it is the source of issues for your child. HOT Dogs oftentimes have Milk or milk byproducts in them. This was a huge mistake I made ... not knowing that for a time. Have you checked your child's hot dogs ... they often hide it ... Guest guest
thanks for the feedback. i put different foods in front of her, and as stubborn as she is, won't touch it. our DAN wants us to do the elimination diet, but it is SO hard!! my daughter doesnt eat alot of sugary stuff like pastries or cookies (actually doenst eat these at all) but has fruit snacks once in a while. but i can't get her to eat the gluten free/no artificial coloring ones! argh! it gets so frustrating. can anyone give me any recipes that they have tried and their picky kids eat?? i've tried the gfcf hotdogs and BLAHHHH, i wouldn't eat them! LOL i would love to have a recipe for gfcf blueberry muffins.....tasty ones at that!! LOL food intolerance panels?? is this something i can send out or does it have to be under a DAN? > > > > > > > > > > hi everyone! > > > > > > > > > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY > > > EMOTIONAL. > > > > > crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non- > verbal. > > > here > > > > > is a list of what she is on. what am i doing wrong?? > > > > > > > > > > super nu thera (on for about 6 months now) > > > > > cod liver oil (since about april) > > > > > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to > 6 > > > tabs a > > > > > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. > > > > > i started her on folic acid today (1 capsule in juice) > > > > > taurine per DAN (for about 3-4 days now- may stop this > because > > of > > > > > behavior??) > > > > > GSE (1 drop in am with juice for about 1 week now) > > > > > > > > > > she has a bowel movement every 3-4 days, but last few have > been > > > > > formed, not like the smelling liquid ones she used to have. > > she > > > was > > > > > on diflucan for almost 3 months but i didn't refill this time > > > because > > > > > it's very expensive and insurance doesn't cover. so , that > is > > > why i > > > > > started GSE. > > > > > any advice would help. i'm trying my best to do gfcf but she > > is > > > > > soooo very picky. she doesn't do milk/soy so i guess it's > the > > > gluten > > > > > that is hard to avoid. she only eats chicken nuggets or > > > hotdogs. > > > > > does anyone have any food advice as well?? > > > > > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but > are > > > gfcf) > > > > > and she doesn't really like them. i'm going to continue to > try > > > and > > > > > give them to her but i'm willing to sell a few bags if anyone > > is > > > > > interested. > > > > > thanks in advance!! > > > > > gina > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Our food intollerance panel was done by our DAN ... but I do believe that they can be done without one ... if you get a doctor to order the blood to be drawn for it.... My son use to be the same as your daughter ... he would only eat what HE wanted to eat and nothing else. However, after I removed everything from his diet that he reacted to ... and after 3 days of his refusal to eat anything ... literally ... then he started eating. I mean really eating. For the first time in his life his picky eating went away .. He now eats vegetables by the boatload, he eats fruits, he eats meats, he eats carbs... It has been like a miracle for him. As long as a child is eating a food that they should not be eating ... they will remain hooked on those foods. I started gfcf diet with just the basics ... steamed veggies, a piece of meat and a serving of fresh fruit. I would leave those out on the table ... and I would tell my son that is the food I was offering. He could choose to eat ... or not to, but that was what was being offered. He choose not to eat for 3 days. But by day four he was stealing bites of food from his plate ... and by day 5 he came to the table and said his first real word. Eat! Its hard to see your child go through withdrawl from the foods they shouldn't be eating ... but I can tell you 16 months later ... I am sure glad I did. My child is doing super and I know his foods are safe for him to eat. Guest guest
-Not to make your life harder, but Hebrew National dogs are loaded with Nitrates and that causes major aggression and crying at our house. you might want to check this out. http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/factsheets/FACTsymptom.htm Also, have you tried giving Epson Salt baths? That really helps with constipation and Phenol issues as well as removing toxins from the body. The magnesium works as a laxative and the sulfur helps with the phenols and toxins. When a child is constipated, they can store up toxins in the body which can really affect them negatively. We do a soak about 2-3 times p/wk for at least 20 min and it is great. Helps to calm nerves as well. > FYI.....Hebrew National Hot Dogs are GF/CF and a company > called " Ian's " makes GF/CF chicken Nuggets (I've found them at Von's, > Mother's, and Whole Foods) > > > > > > > > > > > > hi everyone! > > > > > > > > > > the past couple of days, my 3 yo daughter has been VERY > > > EMOTIONAL. > > > > > crying over the smallest of things. she is mostly non- > verbal. > > > here > > > > > is a list of what she is on. what am i doing wrong?? > > > > > > > > > > super nu thera (on for about 6 months now) > > > > > cod liver oil (since about april) > > > > > dmg chewables (for about 1 week) DAN dr wants to increase to > 6 > > > tabs a > > > > > day. she had 2 tabs yest, i only gave her 1 tab today. > > > > > i started her on folic acid today (1 capsule in juice) > > > > > taurine per DAN (for about 3-4 days now- may stop this > because > > of > > > > > behavior??) > > > > > GSE (1 drop in am with juice for about 1 week now) > > > > > > > > > > she has a bowel movement every 3-4 days, but last few have > been > > > > > formed, not like the smelling liquid ones she used to have. > > she > > > was > > > > > on diflucan for almost 3 months but i didn't refill this time > > > because > > > > > it's very expensive and insurance doesn't cover. so , that > is > > > why i > > > > > started GSE. > > > > > any advice would help. i'm trying my best to do gfcf but she > > is > > > > > soooo very picky. she doesn't do milk/soy so i guess it's > the > > > gluten > > > > > that is hard to avoid. she only eats chicken nuggets or > > > hotdogs. > > > > > does anyone have any food advice as well?? > > > > > also, i ordered a case of tings (they are like cheetos but > are > > > gfcf) > > > > > and she doesn't really like them. i'm going to continue to > try > > > and > > > > > give them to her but i'm willing to sell a few bags if anyone > > is > > > > > interested. > > > > > thanks in advance!! > > > > > gina > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Most of us are not chelating yet, at my house...still addressing adrenal issues, mostly...anyway, I am very familiar with this in my 4yo (over the past two years) - it feels like this behavior happens when she appears to be " dumping " toxins - having a healing crisis, imo...she often becomes very " sad. " Mourning the durndest things - " I really miss our old house, can we move back? " and heartbroken - 6 mos. after the move, that is ....To me, it feels like she is playing " catchup. " Revisiting old hurts, that she was unable to cope with, previously...got " ammo " of a sorts, and off she goes...did that makes sense? And, in watching her, I have caught myself & others, having these moments too, and do relate them to dumping/subsequent improvements...I do try to up any supportive foods/supps we may have been " slacking " on also...seems to help. Overall, tho, does seem to be a part of our healing process. (my theory wishing you the best answers elizabeth > > The past 3 days my 9yr. daughter has been very emotional. Guest guest
Comments interspersed. S S Very Emotional Posted by: " valletto22 " ronda@... valletto22 Sat Jun 14, 2008 8:49 pm (PDT) The past 3 days my 9yr. daughter has been very emotional. She has been rolling her bottom lip down and tears filling her eyes and crys... doens't last long but happening all through the day. She doens't look or act like she's in pain. This is breaking my heart... I wish she could tell me! We've been chelatiing her since November 07. *What chelator, dose, and dosing schedule? I presume she has NO mercury amalgam dental fillings?! her levels are within range but at the high end, are Dan Dr. has her on ALA (trans gel)this round with the chelation, one more week before we do the challange. *Please don't do a challenge, they're dangerous (due to the high single dose) and not particularly useful. I'm wondering if the ALA with the chelation is breaking the blood barrior to the brain and kicking in the emotions, something she hasn't been able to do before or if it's hormones? Has anyone experienced this??? *What else is in with the ALA and how much, how often are you dosing it? ALA needs to be dosed every 3 hours during the day and every 4 at night. If you're applying less often than that, that's a problem (high risk of redistributing mercury into her brain). _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
