NOT a bladder infection.........so what is it??

What a lousy year this has been for our boy's health. He has gone

from never being sick to something new and horrible every week.

This time, his school and I noticed that he kept going to the

bathroom to urinate but only a little would come out and then he

would get upset and come out only to go back and do it again about

every 10 to 20 minutes. Took him to the doc, they ran a urine test

and culture.

Urine test revealed high ketones (+1) low WBC. Doc said sounds like

a bladder infection, maybe e-coli. They gave him a penicillin shot

(we try to avoid all oral antibiotics) and they told me they would

culture it and call in three days.

They called and said it was negative today- no bladder infection.

But he is going to the bathroom much better now and not near as angry

nor crying.

So what the heck is it? What do I need to give him? I am upping his

OoO because he is still angry and mad - which is VERY unlike him.
