Guest guest
Hi My son has been GFCF for 1 year now and I want to introduce foods into his diet that he has not had. I started with Lacto and I had no bad effects from it ( he had a goat cheese sandwich made with gluten free bread) I guess I want to know if all enzymes are the same?? > > Hi , > > Which product from Houston's and which product from Enzymedica? Guest guest
Hi , Not all enzymes are the same. There are specific enzymes that digest specific foods. Like Lipase will digest only fats, and protease will digest proteins, amylase will digest carbohydrates and so on. All enzyme products are not the same either. They are sometimes recommended for specific problems depending on which enzyme is in the product and how much of it. For instance Lacto vs. DigestGold. Lacto is a great starter enzyme because it is very low in potency but it was actually designed for individuals that are lactose intolerant because of the high amount of lactase in it. DigestGold which is much much more potent is a broad spectrum enzyme. It is high in everything. It's made to help individuals with all types of digestive issues. All enzyme companies aren't the same either. Because each child is different, it's best to see what works for your little one. But the great thing about Enzymedica is that all there products are 100% guaranteed. If you don't feel it's working for you after giving it 4 weeks, we will credit you back or the health food store will refund your payment.
