Guest guest
No, not yet, but I do have some, and my son's daily multi contains a little bit. I forgot to put it on the list. But biotin won't really kill yeast, right? It just keeps it in check? I read briefly on how they work, but I didn't quite understand it fully. Guest guest
From an older post of Dana's that I had saved when researching: >> WHAT IS BIOTIN AND HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE DEFICIENT? Biotin is manufactured by the good bacteria in the gut. Biotin deficiency is one cause of yeast overgrowth, and it also causes issues with skin, hair, and nails. Try adding some biotin, see if you notice improvement. Give it with magnesium, because it requires magnesium for proper absorption. me: while I am still fairly new on yeast treating I am pretty sure that a multi is not going to contain anywhere near to what you'd need of Biotin. We started with 400mcg, went to 5000mcg and are now up to 10,000. I know others have went up to 20mg 3x day. Biotin is what the body uses to control yeast on its own. My son did very well with biotin, I was eventually able to remove all other anti-fungals. Guest guest
We've developed a candida program at BrainChild, and the ones we like best are Candex Biocidin Pau D'Arco Oregon Grape We think it's fine to use Candex daily, but for a lot of people this in itself is not enough to get candida down to manageable levels. We suggest rotating several antifungals, such as the other 3 here, 4 days each, to avoid letting the candida build up a resistance to them. Candida is a highly adaptive organism. You can read our whole program here: http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/Brainchild_Nux.html scroll down to the yellow box where it says " Got Yeast? " hope this is helpful, Terri from BrainChild ===================== Posted through Grouply, the better way to access your like this one. http://www.grouply.com/?code=post --- Original message posted by " McCartney " <katie.mccartney@...> on 2008-12-04 18:34:00 --- I have my 4yo on 1/4 tablet GSE 125mg (equivalent to about 3 drops of liquidGSE). I started it with once a day for 1 week, then twice a day for anotherweek. I just reduced it to once a day again as I saw great results and itseems to be under control.Since reducing it to once a day, he's been binging on carbs! I know it's theyeast getting hungry again! And it's impossible to keep him away from thesefoods as I'm not watching him like a hawk every minute while we're atsomeone's house. I'm not very comfortable with long-term use of GSE, so Iwould like to know which is the safest long-term supplement (he's already onprobiotics but not ones that kill yeast)? So far I'm aware of:CandidaseThreelac (I'm reluctant about this one as I read something about it beingbad because it's a soil-based bacteria )CandexI'm looking at options here also and wanted to know what your opinions are:http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionbacteria.htm <http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionbacteria.htm> TIA![Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
