Guest guest
Hi sheryl I am quite new to this myself but i am a google fiend, i read the science behind enzymes, i would recommend www.loveyourbelly.com/resources/gut.html and if you go to you tube and put it the authors name she speaks about this subject. Are you in the UK, if so i would recommend buying your enzymes from Mandi Mart. DAN means Defeat Autism Now and DAN doctors or Practitioners are experienced in Biomeds(inc enzymes)We have our first appointment with one on Monday(my son is three and a half)so i am very excited also started ABA today so it's all happening at once. If you look on www.generationrescue.org this is McCarthy's website and if you click at the top on " begin recovery " it will give you a drop down menu, go to " find a rescue angel " and you can find someone in your area to talk to - RESCUE ANGELS YOU ARE ALL BRILLIANT, good luck Sheryl - In , " sherylmcbride " <sherylmcbride@...> wrote: > > Hi > > I have a son who is adopted and is definately sensitive to something > in food.. Guest guest
HI www.enzymestuff.com<http://www.enzymestuff.com/> is a great place to start...we use Houston Enzymes with much success. Good Luck autistic son brand new to group and overwhelmed Hi I have a son who is adopted and is definately sensitive to something in food.. I have narrowed it down to something to do with carbs but not sure..that is all as somedays he is great and others extremely reactive, angry violent. He is high functioning autism, speaks non stop , but has very poor language, communication skills and is just not normal. He is on meds vyvanse, clonadine , straterra, abilify and xanex.. it breaks my heart. He is actually much better in comforntable environments and acts out mostly at school or out of a secure area and relationship. When he has meat he is much better than with any carbs or sugar. I am so interested in enzymes but have no idea where t start.. also what is a DAN

My son gets very mean, uncontrollable when his yeast is flared up. Could be the food also. Try removing all dairy/milk products. > > He is high functioning autism, speaks non stop , but has very poor > language, communication skills and is just not normal. Guest guest
Sounds exactly like my daughter. She is just not normal. She was always violent and everything she ate made her soooo much worse. I tried lots of different things and found the best thing was treating the yeast. Diflucan was prescribed by our G.I. doctor and she got 80% better on it. We finally stopped it after 5 months and we are tring Biotin for yeast. It started working really well, but adding a probiotic even made it better. (probiotic is called , Custom probiotics) My daughter is looking almost normal the past 3 days. Nights are still tough and she never gets tired, but I am sure that will come. I hope I helped in some small way. PS. My daughter was really violent at the age of 3. It was sad and scary. You will get help here. Hang in there! On Nov 8, 2008, at 7:12 PM, s_hoobler wrote: > > > > > Hi > > > > I have a son who is adopted and is definately sensitive to > something > > in food.. Guest guest
How long after starting the anti-yeast treatment did you notice a change?? If anyone's using GSE and Biotin: How long before you see improvements??? My 3.5 year old is very aggressive and violent.
Guest guest
My daughter was suicidal and really mean at the age of 3. She is 9 now, and we finally are seeing results. We are using biotin, and custom probiotics. Finally we are seeing some results. I noticed results in 2 days. GSE made my dd worse. I can't wait until you see some results, and you will. Stick with this board. What are you giving him right now? Guest guest
Just started on the Biotin and GSE. I don't know how much to give. I go by his stools. They look normal now, versus the mushy, smelly ones he has without. He is so violent with us, but not with others (outside the home). He is a threat to my 15 month old. He's broken a window with his head. Bangs his head all the time. I've noticed that the violence is reduced. Not gone, but reduced, and that's a start. What else is your daughter taking? Have you ever done an OAT or the hair elements tests??? And...thank you for the info)
Guest guest
My daughter was a really big threat too. She was also very difficult outside the house. She was so sick. Poor thing. I never did the oat test, but I did the hair elements test. It showed that she has no lithium in her body. I never did the oats test. This is what I give right now: I only give the ALA when chelating. OH, the chelation is helping a lot too. 10AM 1/4 CAPSULE CUSTOM PROBIOTINC 15 mg. Biotin 2 Drops Lithium Pinch Super Nu Thera 5-mg. ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) 1-Shark Liver Oil 1PM 15 mg. Biotin 2 Drops Lithium Pinch of SNT 5-mg. ALA 4PM 15 mg. Biotin 2 Drops of Lithium Pinch SNT 5-mg. ALA 7PM 15 mg. Biotin 2 Drops of Lithium Pinch SNT 5-mg. ALA 1/2 Tablet of the Choline 10 PM Etc...... 1/4 CAPSULE CUSTOM PROBIOTINC On Nov 8, 2008, at 9:40 PM, rafidainraouf wrote: > Just started on the Biotin and GSE. I don't know how much to give. Guest guest
Did you start on the biotin and the GSE, at the same time? You should start one at a time. Are you giving a probiotic? Guest guest
Which one to start with? And how much for a 3.5 year old who weighs 35 lb.? Yes, I am using a probiotic: Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics 12 Plus (original formula). What do you recommend? Thanks:)
Guest guest
Well everyone is different, but I saw huge progress with custom probiotics. I got this one because it has no milk in it. Dairy makes my daughter really violent. This probiotic also doesn't have any step strains in it. As far as the biotin...I started with 400mcg 3x's a day, and it wan't nearly enough. I upped it after 2 days, to 10 mg. 3x's a day. My daugher is 9 and weighs 60 lbs. I am now giving 15mg. 3x's a day, along with the custom probiotics. I give 1/2 cusom probiotic in the morning and 1/2 at night. On Nov 8, 2008, at 10:07 PM, rafidainraouf wrote: > Which one to start with? Guest guest
..... and I am doing chelation with ALA, which is also giving us great results. My daugher was a mess, and still has a ways to go, but it is so much better. I use to spend my days, trying to keep her from running in the street and from hurting the dog....herself...and others. Guest guest
Chelation with ALA? I don't know about this. Chelation is so controversial. I'm not sure about it. It's been very effective for you, though. Which DAN do you see? What else has your daughter been on? We had a cat and I felt so sorry for the poor thing. Guest guest
go to the autism/mercury group. they can explain the chelation better than me. it is done with alpha lipoic acid, and they will explain how safe it is. i was afraid at firs too, but you just have to read their files and the scientific research, and you may go for it like me. it is helping. the yeast will always come back if you don't get rid of the metals. do you think your child is mercury toxic? my dd is. she was damaged from the hep B vaccine.
