My son just started concerta 27 mg time release about six weeks ago. It has

been helping him a lot and though I would like to eventually get him off of this

medication, for now he is able to focus in school, he behaves much better, gets

along with others better and is a happier boy.

I've also been giving my son two virastopo and two candidase for over a year -

he gets two of each the last thing before he goes to bed (about 7:30 p.m.) and I

wake him up at 5:00 a.m. and give him two before he gets up. About 7:30 I give

him the time release concerta.

I did not realize this could be an issue until yesterday when I saw something

about candidase and time release medication!

I really think the candidase and vira stop have been very important for my son's

allergies/food sensitivities. He has a much better immune system now than he

did a couple of years ago when I started.

But is it interferring with the meds? (It seems like the med is working

anyway).

Does the timing of the meds make a difference? Can anyone give me some insight

on this?

We recently started biofeedback and eventually my goal is no adhd medication. I

have to somehow convince my dh who things concerta is a magic pill and is so so

so happy with the way my son is behaving. He gets mad everytime I mention maybe

getting him off!

Give the Candidase at least 2 hours apart from the medication.
