Guest guest
Hi all. Out 4y6m son has been on ViraStop (single strength) for about a week. We have reached a dose of 4 caps, twice per day, between meals. We are attempting to treat any viruses before we start to treat Yeast/candida. We have not yet started any GSE. In the past few days he has developed very inflamed and cracked lips, and appears to have a general herpres simplex region around the periphery of each lip. He is in some pain because the area is quite sensistive and occasionally bleeds. Has anybody experienced such effects ? Other supplements: Currently he is taking 2 caps of GlutenEase with each meal. He has liquid FCLO (3 mL per day) and BioKult (7 caps per day). Diet is Full GAPS. BR n
Guest guest
What you are describing could also possibly be a yeast flare-up. I have something called " exfoliative chelitis " that sounds like what you are describing (it's basically a form of eczema on the lips) and it seems to be related to yeast. Maybe it's time to add some anti-fungals? We use ViraStop for another herpes virus- HHV-6- and haven't had any problems. -Sierra > > Hi all. > > Out 4y6m son has been on ViraStop (single strength) for about a week. > We have reached a dose of 4 caps, twice per day, between meals. > We are attempting to treat any viruses before we start to treat > Yeast/candida. > We have not yet started any GSE. > > In the past few days he has developed very inflamed and cracked lips, > and appears to have a general herpres simplex region around the > periphery of each lip. > He is in some pain because the area is quite sensistive and occasionally > bleeds. > > Has anybody experienced such effects ? > > Other supplements: > Currently he is taking 2 caps of GlutenEase with each meal. > He has liquid FCLO (3 mL per day) and BioKult (7 caps per day). > Diet is Full GAPS. > > BR > n >
Guest guest
Hi n, You might find the following interesting. I took it from enzymestuff.com If you have yet to read through the virus section on this website, I would recommend going through it. The information is very helpful. It has been observed by some that when taking Virastop, viruses that were once dormant are awakened. This is seen by different symptoms emerging. " Viruses may enter the body by a variety of paths. An invading virus should be subdued and immobilized by the immune system, lying dormant and harmless in the body. In the gut, certain agents of the immune system in the mucosal lining usually conquer any viruses. However, if the intestinal mucosa is damaged or is deficient this can leave an opening for a virus to be reactivated, get out of control and become industrious in the gut, and even spread to other parts of the body. The same doorway results from having a weakened immune system. This may force the immune system to constantly work at a higher level. It becomes overburdened on a daily basis, yet cannot completely destroy or subdue the virus. A number of research studies have established various viruses are present in some children with developmental delays such as autism, and often accompany persistent digestive and health problems. Documented viruses include the stealth virus, herpes virus, measles, chicken pox, Epstein-Barr, and viral encephalitis. There is evidence that viruses can cause dysfunction in the brain and damage the protective coating, called myelin, around the nerves. This leaves the nerves exposed and susceptible to damage. Viruses are suspected as agents in many autoimmune diseases as well. " There's so much information on this topic that I could go on for pages but if you read through http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionviruses.htm#1 I think you will find it very helpful. Hope this helps! Viral die off tends to cause a lot of yeast. Plus, it took me four years to eliminate viruses in my son's body. I would not recommend waiting to start eliminating yeast. I needed to control yeast for the entire time I was eliminating my son's viruses. > In the past few days he has developed very inflamed and cracked lips, > and appears to have a general herpres simplex region around the > periphery of each lip. This might be yeast, or it might be herpes coming out. I eliminated herpes with lysine. Lysine deficiency will cause the body to not be able to eliminate herpes. The Virastop might be starting to eliminate the virus, but it will just come back until you address the lysine deficiency. Dana
