A word of warning though - while it may be true that strengthening the immune system will get rid of recurring yeast infections, strengthening our immune systems with PA is the last thing we want to do! Our problem IS an overactive immune system. However, the nutritional advice was good and one point I really liked was " metabolic individuality " - at last someone is recognizing that all of us are different!! Our bodies metabolize differently. This is probably why I am having such trouble with kidney stones lately and have always had trouble with weight control. I know traditional medical treatment likes to make it MY fault - You eat too much. You don't drink enough water. But I truly believe that the root of the matter is how my body metabolizes different elements. I'm praying that more and more medical attention will be focused in this area. Guest guest
Constipation is my nemisis and nightmare! Things that I have found that work.... Freshly squeezed orange juice.... a bowl of cherries (careful or you will cause diarrhea) I did those for a while with great success. But now, I buy vitamin C in powdered form and put a tablespoonful into a morning smoothy (filled with fresh fruits and veggies) and it has seemed to have done the trick. I also give him an additional supplement or 2 throughout the day if I can. I used to use all sorts of laxitive type products such as metamusil and mineral oil but long term use of that stuff is not good for the kids and provides no nutritional benefits. The vitamin C is absolutely wonderful for our kids (antioxident) and heavy doses of it keeps that constipation at bay and those bowels moving.... Guest guest
Houston has enzymes that come in a powder form. That would hopefully be something easy to mix into baby food. Not sure about how hard it is to cover up maybe someone else can comment on that. My 8 and 5 year old use the chewables with no issues. Swallowing capsules would save money and less to chew, which is my goal. I understand the capsules can open and put in juice too. I would start out by reading Dana’s web site and Defelice’s web site and book, web site is enzymestuff. That will give you some good basic info to get started on enzymes, yeast, vitamins. Brainchild also has a great web site and very user friendly vitamins and minerals that mix in my sons orange juice beautifully, love it! Hopes this helps you and those getting started in this long journey or trial and error. Tammy Yeast Does anyone know the signs of yeast overgrowth? My twins have small red bumps on their butts and sometimes on their legs. Their pedtrician says it is candida. Now my son 1 year old has the same thing. I am using Threelac for the twins but not seeing much improvement. I am wondering if they should be on something else? I have been reading all the postings. I am amazed how much everyone knows. How did you start the enzymes? Where can I find the information? Is there someone I can talk to to help me with this process of determining what is good for them? I am concerned how the twins will eat only baby food. They will sit in my lap with a spoon when I am feeding their younger brother. They will be 3 in March. It is hard enough to get the threelac in their food let alone anything else.

Guest guest
Check out Brainnchild. They have a yeast protocol with several natural things to rotate to keep fighting. Great success stories from others! Tammy [ ] yeast I was wondering how long other people have been using nystatin or difulucan. My son's yeast test came back and it said he had many forms of yeast. His doctor put him on nystatin 6 months ago and then added diflucan 3 months ago.I have been using natural antifungals in rotation as well. I talked to his doctor in a follow up consultation and told him that after we started each he had an intitial die off for a couple of days and then nothing after that.My son has improved all around including eating better. Now originally his doctor had told me that he would be on antifungals for 1-2 years since his infection was so bad,but after the consult he said to discontinue both antifungals. His feeling is if you don't see anything new good or bad then its time to stop.I suggested another antifungal but he said no.Now I am concerned because he hasn't been tested to see if the infection is gone and they had said he had so many strains of yeast that it would take various things and a long time to get rid of it. Is it possible to get rid of yeast this fast? He is also doing chelation which I know can stir up yeast so I plan on keeping him on the natural antifungals but I am wondering if I should push to keep him on the others.Has anyone done it for only 6 months and if so did the yeast come back after you stopped? Guest guest
Yeast can become tolerant of nystatin and diflucan and it may not work after a while. That is why they don't want to leave him on it or try another antifungal. The real key for final elmination of it, is immune function and getting rid of metals. We have been using natural antifungals for two years while we chelate. We had the same thing with nystatin, saw die off and temporary improvement, then it came right back. I went back to GSE..it worked better and did not contain artificial colors/flavors or aluminum. Which is what was in the liquid nystatin. Blek! Diflucan is expensive and some insurances won't pay for daily long term use, and it is taxing on the liver. In my experience, it is not possible to get rid of systemic yeast that fast, or for it to stay gone, it usually comes back. And will if your chelating. It may be under control at this time, which is great. Keep using the natural antifungals. Just increase those and his probiotics if you should see yeast symptoms. Personally, for us the GSE works better than scripts and is sooo much cheaper. > > I was wondering how long other people have been using nystatin or difulucan. GSE will eliminate yeast that fast. But it will come back, depending on what you feed him, what supps you give, and what issues you need to address. My son's yeast was gone permanently, with after chelation, anti-virals, and biotin supplementation. >>He is also doing chelation which I know can stir up yeast so I plan on keeping him on the natural antifungals but I am wondering if I should push to keep him on the others. I used only naturals. To control yeast until the metals and viruses were gone, I gave biotin and GSE. Dana
Guest guest
Kandee, Kefir or yogurt works to help clear it up. You can also mix a little biokult into the yogurt -- just be careful. I did that once for my daughter's diaper rash and it was too strong and burned. In addition, I also find that aloe helps if there is irritation. What I did with a yeasty diaper rash was topically apply kefir and fresh aloe (from the plant) at every diaper change. The other thing that really helps to clear it up is "naked time". Let her go without a diaper for as long as possible -- ideally at least an hour every day.Daily chamomile baths are also very soothing to the area.Ann MarieOn Mar 24, 2008, at 11:52 AM, Kandee Edge wrote:My youngest daughter has a yeast infection. Guest guest
I am currently using Candidase to get rid of my 11 year old daughter's yeast. I went slow and I finally got her up to 5 Candidase a day. When I went from 4 to 5 her language regressed a little and when she communicates she says some odd things (more than usual). She is a little tired, but as of now she feels fine. She also told me she was having weird dreams, not scary, just weird. Are these symptoms normal when yeast is being cleared out of the body. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Guest guest
At one point two of my kids and myself had such tonsil problems I wanted them out. What I have discovered though, is that it was yeast. Also, the ear infections could very likely be yeast too. We've treated both as yeast at this house and had a dramatic reduction (actually, almost no recurrence) in issues. I don't believe removing the tonsils and adenoids would reduce the yeast. Probably, just changed where it went. Try a yeast protocol and see if it helps. We don't do grapefruit seed extract (GSE) long term here, but we use it when it appears. We didn't recognize the symptoms for yeast until after the fact. We treated tonsillitis with GSE without realizing it was yeast. Why should I? MDs told me for years it was bacterial and kept giving me antibiotics, all of which my son was allergic to. When we treated the tonsillitis with GSE other issues like eye blinking, rolling skin between finger and thumb then sniffing, even language blocks, cleared. So, we took note of what the GSE improved and attributed them to yeast. Now, we call them yeast signs. When we see them start up, we do GSE for a day again. My son is older so he puts 10 drops in 6 oz of water, gargles and swallows. I've heard of some who just take a pill, others who put a drop or two in juice a few times a day. We added biotin daily at Dana's recommendation. 5mg was what he was taking while we were still getting this down. Now, he doesn't take any biotin, and only rarely has to use the GSE. I also believe that chelation for 6 months has really helped too since he has obvious problems. But, we haven't had another throat infection. I attribute that to keeping his yeast low or gone with GSE. P. Sheena wrote: > > Ok, so I have been reading and YEAST keeps coming up.... But I can't > find the symtoms... how do I know? A link? Guest guest
I'd say, according to my experience, chances are good. Again, here we mix 10 drops in 6 oz of water and gargle and swallow. For us, we noticed results very quickly - within hours the throat infection which had lingered for a week left. Then, even though he stopped doing GSE the next day, we noticed the other tics and issues clearing or cleared up over the course of the next week. Then we added the GSE back in for a few days to finish them off!!! Now, we just look for eye rubbing. The first sign yeast is increasing again for my son. Others may be able to tell you how they do it. Some put drops in juice. We chase with juice. It is pretty strong flavor - think concentrated grapefruit pucker! But, my kids are older. You might add biotin to your sons day too. 500mcg is what a lot use for that young to start. The other thing is to cut out refined white everything (sugar, flours, etc.) they feed yeast. We've done turbinado (sugar) only or honey or molasses for years. I think that kept my son from being a lot worse. We also limit use of white flour. P. ah, to just be born without tonsil. Mine fill up the whole back of my throat even with all the caverns from infection! Sheena wrote: > > You think that the eczema & the throat will clear w/ GSE? Guest guest
I would try enzymes next. Enzymes made a big difference with my daughter. Her poops were formed after enzymes. You can add Vitamin C a week later if you want. Just add things slowly and watch behaviours. You might get some weird behaviours with the enzymes, but go with it at first. My daughter takes Trienza and at first she verbally stimmed like crazy until she was used to them. Now they help her so much. What kind of B12 do you use? Guest guest
I am always too nervous to just do the tea while chelating. I still give her biotin and GSE through out the day. Once the boys go through a lot of rounds and you don't see the yeast or it's not as bad, try just the tea. But while chelating I would keep as much stuff as I can on board. I have never used the RX anti-fungals so I am not sure how they would be with the tea. I would think you'll really get a good handle the on the yeast though. We are going through a huge bacterial die off from the tea right now. I love the anti-bacterial side of this tea, it's amazing. > > > > > > > > > > Do you order your supplements online or is their a particular > > store > > > > > you frequent?
