Guest guest
My son has been of the gfcf diet for about 3 years. What I have recently realized is that when my son has an infraction there is often no reaction. The only time I see a reaction is when my son has a high dose of sugar. I am not at all ready to take my son off the diet but wanted to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and what they did?!
Guest guest
We are new to the diet, 6 months, but I have also noticed the same thing. We did a trial of adding gluten back into my son's diet, and there were no bad behaviors, in fact he actually behaved BETTER than previously. However, his stools have regressed, not to diahrea, but they are no longer normal. I am thinking that gluten is a gastro irritant but not for him but not a behavior trigger. We are going back to GF (and CF still) but we are going to allow small infractions with enzymes. So glad to hear that you had success with the diet! Gives us hope!
