Guest guest
Yes, we've used these for close to a year. We started when my son was 3 because of loose stools and yeast/bacteria issues. We also use Zyme Prime by Houston as well. Enzymes generally are very safe, but I would recommend the " low and slow " dosing schedule on the website and ramp these up. We started with Zyme Prime which is a contains many different enzymes-kind of a general purpose thing and then added the AFP Peptizyde. You might check out the " Enzymes and Autism " Group and DeFelice's Book " Enzymes and Autism " for more information. (Max's Mom) > > Has anyone given AFP Peptizyde from Houston Nutraceuticals, Inc? Guest guest
We have been using this product for several years now and had great success with it. You might also consider adding Zyme Prime which is an enzyme to support carbohydrate digestion. We have used both products and they are perfectly safe for ASD kids. > > Has anyone given AFP Peptizyde from Houston Nutraceuticals, Inc? Guest guest
I use the Peptizye in place of gf/cf and my son also does very well on them. <@...> wrote: We have been using this product for several years now and had great success with it. Guest guest
We've been using it along with other enzymes and haven't had any bad side effects. Seems to be working well. Guest guest
AFP Peptizyde is entirely safe. The question is whether or not your child will benefit or have some undesired reaction. I've been using it for a few years, off and on, with great results (along with Zyme Prime). Pam > > > > Has anyone given AFP Peptizyde from Houston Nutraceuticals, Inc? Guest guest
I talked to Houston today, & they suggested starting with AFP Peptizyde. Any of you have experience with this enzyme? If so, how did it work for you? Any Adjustment effects? Im a little confused bec my son doesnt eat a whole lot of protein(mostly carbs & processed foods), but they said it was for the GFCF aspect. Im really worried about this, bec I want to start with an easily tolerated, mild enzyme that wont through my sons system off too much in the begining. Thanks for all your help & support - you all are great!! Robin
Guest guest
Carla, Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what 3 enzymes you started with from Houston? Did you start them all at the same time, or one by one? Full dose or low to start then build up to full dose? All 3 at the same meal, or one at different meals? Sorry for all the Qs...Im just still trying to make sense of it all. Thanks so much, Robin > > We started w/ the 3 separate enzymes from Houstons ... then moved to the trienza which is a combination of all three...we now add a no phenol to the mix. We have had great success w/ our son. I will say that we had about a three week adjustment period to work through...but nothing horrible, mostly more stimming, but it did go away. I highly recommend the Houston products.
