Guest guest
My son has been taking digestive enzymes (digest gold and glutenase) for almost 3 years with good improvements. We also did a virus protocol with virastop for about 5 months with really good improvements that did not go away after we stopped. I got a little lax with the digestive enzymes the last couple weeks of summer and started back at lunchtime (the school nurse) after labor day. His teacher started reporting that his attention went down hill after lunch. I had the nurse stop the enzymes and sure enough his attention was better. A couple of weeks ago he was fighting a cold and decided to give him 1 virastop to see if I could help him kick it. His teacher reported very low attention. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this intolerance now?
Guest guest
hi i cant really answer for sure, but i wonder if because you havent used them for a while, his digestion has slowed a little overall, and by adding in the enzymes again it has caused a mild die off effect? I know with fian who has adhd, when he goes to his dads for a week during the holidays - he wont give them anything - fians behaviour is very 'off' for a week until he gets back into taking them again, there may be some foods still slipping through, maybe not enough to cause a negative effect but just enough for there to be a die off effct when the enzymes are re-introduced? hth em > > My son has been taking digestive enzymes (digest gold and glutenase) for almost 3 years with good improvements. This was after chelation tho. With the Virastop, it would have been a yeast overgrowth issue that caused the regression here. Dana
