no-fenol

Hi All

I am fairly new to the group and I am sure you get tired of hearing

the same questions. I have tried to look in the previous messages,

but thought I'd also ask.

My son is 8 and unfortunately not GFCF, although many attempts were

made to do so. We do not have a DAN Dr. in my province and I hear

most DAN Dr's won't see you unless the child is GFCF.

We have started on Houston's enzymes the first one being No phenol,

as my son is obsessed with grape juice. We tried for 2 weeks but his

diarrhea got so bad I had to keep him home from school and he was

getting sores on his bum. I was only giving 1 in the morning.

We stopped the no-phenol and started AFP Pep. So far he is

tolerating this well. Maybe even a slight improvement in his chronc

loose bm's. I was going to start the zympe prime next. I was just

wondering if anyone else had this problem with no-phenol as I had

hoped it would help digest the grape juice he is obsessed with and

blueberry nutri grain bars. Ugggh...

Always thankful for any help

If only I had started the GFCF diet when he was a toddler and not a

160 lb boy who has challenging behaviors....

Smiles

Lori

I used Phenol Assist/and the companion... from kirkman labs. It

was great no problems.

phenols on an oat?  What would you see?

I would email Houston and advise them of this and ask for alternate

distributors. By not stocking, an exclusive distributor is undoubtedly

in violation of their contract and will get dropped. Houston needs to

know about this so that they can find someone else in Oz.
