Guest guest
My son is 5 years old (PDD NOS). Suffer from constipation, retention of gas and GI inflammation. I have given him enzymes in the past but nothing seems to work. I would like to start giving him proteases between meals. Would some one recommend me a good brand and the dosis to give him?. He weighs 43 lbs. Also, for 2 weeks I have been giving him AFP-PEPTIZYDE AND ZYME PRIME (Houston Nutraceuticals. I am only giving him 1/4 teaspon of enzymes before his meal. He is placing his hands in his mouth and drooling a lot. I notice he feels itching in his tongue. Is this an effect of the enzymes?. Is there something that I can do about it?. He is also extremelly hungry. Thanks for your help. CP
Guest guest
how about the afp petizyde chewables ? - 1 for a small meal and 2 for a large meal, given before the meal. I also use the no-fenol chewables if there's fruits or veggies at the meal. There was a 2 week or so adjustment period where I saw some regression and stomach aches but now he's doing great. My son is 7.5 years old. Try an active probiotic first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and at night before bed. It will help heal the gut. Get Deflice's book - Enzymes for Autism if you haven't already. On Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 9:50 AM, conga_carmen wrote: My son is 5 years old (PDD NOS). Guest guest
Hi Carmen Enzymedica's Virastop is a high protease product to give in-between meals. What digestive enzymes have you given him in the past? Have you ever tried Enzymedica's Digest Gold? If you would like, I can send you a sample of Digest Gold and Virastop along with some information. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
