Guest guest
Hello All I feel the need to testify. I didn't think enzymes would help my son. Bowels seemed fine, never complained about tummyaches, blood work for allergys came back ok, and he ate most foods. I only tried enzymes b/c I figured, why not. Within a few days I saw some improvements. Not amazing, but most days (now that I think back) had a 'hmm moment' and his teachers were saying good things. A couple weeks before Christmas I decided to stop the enzymes. I credited my sons success on the new behavior plan and convinced myself that he improved b/c he might have been going thru a growth spurt. Well, most of you know how this story ends. Within 2 wks, my son seemed worse than b4 enzymes. I guess since things improved gradually, I forgot how it was before enzymes. We are now back on track. I am writing this b/c I was on the fence for a while. Reading the posts but not reacting. I did learn to keep notes now. Especially since I will be adding new things. Peace and God Bless, Michele
Guest guest
Michele - That was me too. We did enzymes this past summer, what a battle to get him to take. When school started, I threw in the towel. Things got worse, school, home, chewing, getting up at night, he asked to go back on enzymes. This was Halloween night, I'll never forget it. It was a light bulb moment for me. Now he sleeps through the night, shopped chewing, happier and lots of little changes. It is hard to see during the school year and just contribute it to age and it does get easier. Like last night, he's finally eating sauce on his spaghetti instead of just plain pasta and he actually ate the crust on his bread. Sometimes it's the little stuff that really makes me happy!
