We use them and have never had a problem.  Since they only digest food, if

there is no food, then they should be just moved along in the gut and

eliminated.

Not sure you can OD on enzymes, but it might irritate the stomach and have

heard that too much no-fenol can cause constipation. Maybe others will chime

in.
