Guest guest
My only suggestion would be to start the NAC and glutathione seperate from starting chelation.Has he had any testing? The only things I see might be missing that are improtant are vitamin c and minerals. Do you have urine ph yest strips? Starting DMSA, NAC and Glutathione today--what should I do about supplements HELP!! My 3 year old son is starting DMSA, NAC and Glutathione today. I have tried to get someone from Dr. DeMio's office to call me now for about a week to ask about what I should do for supplementation while he is on these things ( it is first round). He is on Zinc, Selenium, B12 injections, ProEFA, Vitamin E, Vitamin K,ProBioGold, Viatmin A & D oil, Milk Thistle, Melatonin, Super Nu Thera, MCT oil, Co Q 10, Diflucan. He has been on all these except milk thistle ( started 2 days ago)for about 5 weeks now. He received his DMSA, glutathion, and NAC today in the mail. What do I avoid on chelation days(3 days on 11 off for DMSA), how do you " catch up " on non DMSA days?? Thanks in advance for all responses. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
I do not have pH strips to use...what do they do? He has been tested for RBC elements, stool, and urine for Heavy Metals. The Dr. said that he was a poor detoxifier, so we will try chelation. He wants to do all 3 together. Did you not do all of them at the same time? Do you hold minerals on chelation days?? > > My only suggestion would be to start the NAC and glutathione seperate from starting chelation.Has he had any testing? Guest guest
I have heard some children who are not actually low in glutathione have bad reactions/ regression on it. Nac helps the body make glutathione by itself. So when our Dr gave us just the glutathione, I tried it for 2 weeks to make sure he didnt have a reaction before starting DMSA. That way I would know which was making him react. DMSA pulls Zinc and I was advised to supplement minerals and other supplements by breaking the doses up to do them 4 times a day. Urine ph is important. It should be above 7 or if your child is mid to high in cadmium it will get worse. I would go slow. I was all fired up and ready to go until I really looked into things. Dr's dont know everything ( unfortunatly ) and most of the info I have is from really experienced parents. They have been doing it a long time. Yeast is often a problem during chelation. Look for that also once you start. Oh I see you have diflucan.. What dosing and timing schedule are you planning on using? Start one at a time, not all three at the same time. >>What do I avoid on chelation days(3 days on 11 off for > DMSA), Give the same supplements every day, except of course for the chelator. You may be able to reduce the yeast control on the " off " days. Dana

Guest guest
hmmm the dosing for nac and glutahione seems ok but do i have it right.. 100 mg of DMSA 3 times a day? If thats yes.. I wouldnt advise that high of a dose or than infrequently. If you want to e-mail me I can give you some good info and where to do a bit of research on why this would not be very safe. One reason is DMSA isnt active after 4 hours so the left over metals re-attach the remaining 4 hrs you wait for the next dose. Hopefully they dont re-attach in the brain tissue. Some get stuck and floating around kidneys and liver. Keeping a constant low dose going means this will only happen once.. at the end of the 3 day chelation cycle. This is my undrstanding of it. : ) Starting DMSA, NAC and Glutathione today--what > should I do about supplements > > > > HELP!!
