An introductory seminar on the Updated Relationship Development

Intervention (RDI) Program

The Bay Area RDI® Program Certified Consultants will collaboratively

host a beginning seminar on the basic tenets of Guided Participation

on March 21st at the Redwood City Library. Come and learn about

building trust relationships, experience sharing communication and

limit setting with your child, teenager or adult with ASD. Hear

about the latest advancements in the RDI® Program protocol, including

a interactive look at the RDI® Operating System

RDI® is a parent-based program to systematically remediate the

deficits associated with autism spectrum disorder. RDI® empowers

parents by preparing them to act as participant guides, creating

daily opportunities for their child to respond in more flexible,

thoughtful ways to novel, challenging and increasingly unpredictable

settings and problems. The RDI® program is designed to expand your

child's capacity for Dynamic Intelligence, opening the door to:

· Reciprocal communication,

· Genuine friendships,

· School and workplace success &

· Confident, independent living

This presentation is designed for parents who are ready to learn the

guiding skills needed to build foundations for their ASD family

member to develop true relationships. Parents engaged in RDI®

overwhelmingly report significant improvement in their own quality of

life, as well as the lives of their " non-affected children. Please

join us and meet veteran RDI® parents sharing their journey, watch

before and after video clips and meet your local RDI® consultants and

trainees.
