Guest guest
We use Gillhams Calm Magnesium regularly. It works in about 3-6 hours the first time - works great in lemonade, oj, anything slightly sour. We also us Pedialax glycerin suppositories on the other end, they work in 10 -30 seconds. Sometimes it's not the top end, but the muscles have atrophied and cannot push. Suppositories put pressure to help the pushing.Sorry. That's how our DAN! described it to us. Hope this helps, Susi

He was on 200mg/day now he's on 500mg/day but still having troubles. USRDA is 400mg, so you really are not giving that much. If he is still having problems, you might need to increase it more, or magnesium deficiency might not be the cause of the constipation. > Should I give him more? I don't want to overdose him but how do I know if he's getting enough or too much? Too much magnesium geenrally causes diarrhea. Try increasing the yeast protocol, see if that is the problem. Guest guest
Give him papaya and papaya tea. Crush seeds put them in water overnight and drained it with a coffe filter. It should look like a chamomile tea. laura > > I've had to up the dose of mag for my 50 lb son as his constipation is getting worse. He was on 200mg/day now he's on 500mg/day but still having troubles. I've just started epsom salt baths too. I'm thinking about trying a mag cream as well. > > Should I give him more?
