Guest guest
My son is 5, how much Virastop should we start with? Can you empty the capsule in food or drink. It sounds like they should make a Virastop that is more potent so you don't have to take so many per day. Virastop protocol questions? Hi - We have been doing biomed for the past 2.5yrs wih good success, but I have to say our biggest jumps have been with the virastop protocol and enzymes. Just unbelievable really. We started with both kids actually (son is ASD 4.5 and NT 3yr dd with horrible gut/inflammation issues too) about 2 months ago with the " low and slow " method. Within 2 weeks, our son was isuddenly VERY interested in eating veggies that he would never een remotely consider before like brocolli, califlower, zucchini and many others...I mean BOWLS of them! His chronic eczema cleared up, and some pretty great cognitive gains as well. Well then we started the virastop protocol, knowing that both our kids are major " viral " kids (my son regressing after the DPT and MMR). Our various DAN doctors never stresssed enzymes (I am mad about that!) and our current one is still unsupportive of this protocol, doubting what it can do despite our tremendous success. Ugh, sometimes.... :-( Good thing I don't rely on them too much and do my OWN research (how we got here)!!! Currently for my son, we are now up to 8 capules at 3x/day (24/day) and my daughter is taking 5 capsules at 2x/day. We moved MUCH slower with her because she had MAJOR die-off with this horrible red rash around her mouth (like lipstick from a clown) every time we tried to move from 1 to 2...and the behaviors were just plain awful too. My son got some facial rashes, but mostly the viral detox rashes inside the elbows, knees, and under the chin and on his fanny. We saw these same ones when using valtrex for 8 months a year ago. At the same time as the enzymes, they also both get 2-3 Biotin, OLE (900mg), 2 caps GSE or 1.5 Uva Ursi, 1 Cranberry, Detoxygen, 1 Candidase, 1 Candex. He also gets 200mg of diflucan at bedtime (usually on 100mg, but upped with this program), and charcoal daily. We also do Metal-Free, Nariwa water, ionic foot baths and some vaccine related NAET for metal excretion. He has had tremendous gains every time we up the enzymes....2 days of detox, fatigue, THEN unbelievable new speech, imaginary play, things that are blowing our minds every day! The last time I upped it was 5 days ago. I don't know if we should move on to 9? I thought I read it both ways... " once you stop seeing gains, then up it again " . I also read " keep upping it until you stop seeing gains. " So which is it? I am also wondering what to do because his poops started getting very mushy once we added in OLE a few weeks ago. The gains have been so unreal that I didn't want to take it back out, so I wanted to know if anyone has seen this? If so, did the poops return to normal after the end of the virastop protocol? We also give 600mg (1cap) of L-Lysine beween all of these enzymes...I read it is supposed to be 2 hrs before/after the enzymes? Is that right? SOmeone else mentioned that it would be better to do the OLE 30min after the enzymes? Does it matter? We never did that. Also, for protein digestion are people giving virastop at meals with food, or is there a better option? Our son has been getting 3 no- fenol, 2 v-gest, 1 lypo, and 1 virastop. Daughter gets the same, minus no-fenol....she gets bonkers on it for some reason? Dana, thoughts on all of this? We are also geting ready to start homeopathic vaccine nosodes. Anyone else used these? After our consult, our son was prescribed the thimerosal and lead potentized remedies. We are excited, but I am still a little nervous (although we have been doing classical homepathy for about a month and seeing very positive things, plus doing naturopathy/NAET for 3 yrs). Anyone else with experience here on this? Thanks so much in advance!!! :-))))

It sounds like they should make a Virastop that is more potent so you don't have to take so many per day. I started with one capsule. If you have viruses, it will tend to cause a lot of yeast. It should be given on an empty stomach for best effect, so you can empty it into a small amount of water or diluted juice, but not with food. There is a more potent version, you can contact Enzymedica and ask for it. Dana
Guest guest
Garrett also has the red lining around his lower lip. He otherwise is doing very well. If I add the Lysine, how much do I give and can I give it just once per day so we won't be worrying about lots of scheduling hassles between it and the OLE? Guest guest
What kind of OLE do you use? We just started the virastop protocol and are now up to 15 a day (5 three times per day). I am also doing cats claw. I don't know that we have seen anything tremendous yet but have read that sometimes you have to get to that therapeutic dose before you see anything. I have steadily been giving a new virastop every day and to this point have given one Candidase to every virastop. I think I am going to do 4 candidase to every 7 virastop. But when do I stop upping the dose. Both boys are doing things that we feel are gains but nothing extradorinary yet. One boy has the bottom lip lined in red and both boys have had some red bumps on their bottom and one had a temporary rash on his belly. Does this sound right?  How high does one go with virastop before it is too much? Just wondering how high we really need to go and how long to stay there.  Will add in OLE in a few weeks and maybe get the two working synergistically together hopefully. Guest guest
Thanks Dana. Sorry for delay in posting, but I didn't think my post made it to the board, so I stopped checking back. Doh! Anyway, we are holding at 8 caps of virastop at 3x/day for my son, and 6 caps at 2x/day for my daughter as our top dose. The funny thing is that we did go up to 9, but he started having terrible runny diarrhea, so we backed down and it stopped. We have been at the 8 caps for almost 2 weeks now, so we will plan to hold one more week before starting the climb downwards. How slowly should we descend? My son, interestingly enough, started the mouth rashes AFTER being on the 8 caps over a week? He still has it, right below his bottom lip on one side. And some of the aggression issues are back too since the rash....which always seemed yeast related to me too. We are only giving one each of candidase/candex with the enzymes 3x/day. I guess we should up these then? I never saw in the Go With Your Gut book about upping these to high numbers, so we never did. We give the 2 caps of GSE with the enzymes and 200mg diflucan (son only), so how many of the candex/candidase do people up it too? Still seeing big gains too!!!! :-) Thanks in advance!!!! :-)))) > > > > My son is 5, how much Virastop should we start with? Can you empty > the capsule in food or drink. Guest guest
I also have my twin sons on this protocol. actually broke out in the rash on his torso today and Garrett has had the under the lip thing. They have been on this a total of two weeks and we are at 18 virastops tomorrow and continue to add one per day. I have actually been giving one candidase per virastop. Today I added in one candex. I have stopped at 4 candidase and 1 candex. You might increase how many candidase you give.  Dana and Garrett, just turned 4, SCD 2 years Celiac, ASD, Speech and Motor Apraxia, sensory processing disorder From: mom_to_ben5 <mom_to_ben5@...> Subject: Re: Virastop protocol questions? How slowly should we descend? Once the dose I was giving started causing problems, I reduced relatively quickly. Even when my son no longer needed OLE and Virastop, he still needed vitamin C and lysine to address the rest of the viruses, so you might want to add those. > My son, interestingly enough, started the mouth rashes AFTER being on > the 8 caps over a week?
