My son needed several things to eliminate echolalia. Anti-virals [OLE, Virastop, vitamin C, lysine] and mB12/TMG/folic acid/carnitine. Plus biotin and GSE to control the yeast. > So here's my question. I know epsom salt baths are to get magnesium > into a child quickly and have heard good results from it with regards > to speach. Guest guest
Hi your son sounds exactly like my son. We thought hypotonia at first too. He was referred to occupational therapy 6 months before the pediatrician said PDD. The magnesium is important but it is the sulfate that makes the biggest difference. If you google Dr Rosemary Waring you can find her studies on sulfur. Basically a lot of asd kids are low in sulfate and using a bath gets it into the bloodstream in the proper form so the body doesn't have to convert it. Sulfate is good for the liver, pancreas, hair and skin. We found that between reducing phenol foods and increasing sulfates he improved drastically. I tried doing a cup of epsom salts in the bath at first but he started having lots of pee accidents. I had to go tablespoon by tablespoon and work up to a cup. Good luck!
