I was not aware this was abnormal.

Hi all,

My son's BM's lately are prism shaped; that is, rather than long

rounded shapes they have " corners " and look like play-dough that has

been squeezed through a shape-making press. He produces a lot each

time he moves his bowels, at least once and as many as three times per

day.

Any idea what could be causing this?

TIA,

Since having a child on the spectrum I've learned that producing at

least one brown log-shaped BM per day is widely considered important

to health and an important sign of intestinal/digestive health. My son

has produced " good " BM's from time to time in the past, but a lot of

the time lately his are pale and " fluffy, " indicating too much yeast.

The new shapes are relatively new, and I wondered if anyone else had

seen these and more important: What they might indicate.
