I have been working as a Pharmacy Tech. for 4 months now and I am going to be taking my certification on the 27th of July. I am so nervous that I will fail that I have not been able to sleep. My Pharmacist says he has great faith that I will pass because I already know more than the other techs in the Pharmacy. He has been wonderful with all of the help he has provided. My only downfall is hospital type problems. Flow rates are still a bugger to me, but I kind of understand. Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome to your site. Guest guest
Hi Tere, Welcome to Jeanettas Study Group. I know that Jeanetta will be able to help you with any questions that you should have. And should Jeannetta get stumped on a question you should post she has several people that she can count on to help you with your studies. Good luck on your exam Let me also introduce myself. My name is Tracie and I work for CVS Pharmacy in the Northern Virginia area. Like you, Im also 33yrs old. Ive been a Certified Pharmacy Tech since March of 2001 and have been a technician since 1980. I hope you enjoy working with Walmart as a technician as much as I have. One main thing is to always have fun at work or make it seem like fun. That way you dont burn out of it too quickly. Again welcome to the study group and good luck. Respectfully Tracie, Cpht, Lead Tech
Guest guest
Thank you Tracie for the great confidence. I would like to let Tere and others know that you studied under me and some other techs that helped out from time to time, when this site was at Delphi. At that time her email name was Skywriter27 . I believe she writes with conviciont and personal experience and benefit gained from the PTCB Study Group! Many of those who sent me thank you emails in the past never posted and were lurking and benefiting from reading the posts and answrers. Sky howeverwas very active. You will see her name crop up many times in the archives. Recently I gotto meet MY Skywriter at the NPTA convention. She is as humble and as sweet as I had imagined! I am very grateful to Skywriter/Ladycpht01 for her questions and constant search for more information. She helped so many people by asking those questions, she will never know! Thank you again Tere and Sky /Tracie Respectfully, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Chemistry Pharm Tech Educator > Hi Tere, > Welcome to Jeanettas Study Group. Guest guest
Hi Bridget, So sorry you've acquired an infection, hopefully it will clear up quickly with the antibiotics. I remember what it was like when the kids got sick.. Mine got the chicken pox just like yours did.. 3 of them and we had chicken pox for 6 weeks straight..LOL Hope the young ones are feeling better now though. When we were younger, my mom couldn't hear anything either, yet she always knew when we were doing something wrong. I do believe in the " I have eyes in the back of my head " theory..LOL Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Keep us posted when you can. Hugs, silly
Guest guest
Hi Bridget, I remember well being a young mom and having to turn aside my own personal needs for the needs of my children. I also remember the chicken pox event in our family very well and it can be trying. One thing is for sure, it's not possible to ever put yourself first when you are a busy Mom. I'm sorry you have developed the infection and hope it heals quickly. Since you need to get rest for healing, hopefully you can put other things aside while the family is resting and get some rest for yourself. Do you have church or family that could bring in meals? They might not want to come into the house with chicken pox but they could help relieve you of some of the household resposibilities. One thing I have found is that I gain so much more by serving others than being served so if you haven't asked, you are not letting someone enjoy this special pleasure. Please take care of yourself. Hopefully, the family will get better soon but when chicken pox goes from one child to another - it seems endless. Hugs! Alice
Guest guest
HI Bridget AHHH-how well I remember my 4 boys and the chicken pox!! My kids have been sick with the chicken pox one after the other as one gets better the next one gets sick and now my oldest is feeling sick. With all that comotion with the kids and getting back to work I'm afraid I didn't let myself get pampered enough and as a result came down with an infection behind the ear. I am on atibiotics right now and seem to be doing better but still my ear aches alot! ((((hugs to cathy on her surgery)))) sorry I missed it! My hookup day is the 22, 23, and 24 (my birthday!) We are still trying to get work all sorted out so we can go if not I will let everybody know. I also wanted to say way to go Alice on a great hook-up! What an insperation (sp) you are! It's weird to not hear anything at all now but my kids LOL they are funny they know I can't hear them at all now and try to get away with stuff when my back is turned and today I turned my back on them and they were going at it and I turned my head a little so they didn't notice and saw them shouting at each other! LOL put a stop to that and boy were they stunned! Well I just wanted to connect now that things have sort of calmed down a bit and say thanks for everyone's support! Love you all Bridget/a N24C implanted 3/25/03 Hookup date 4/22/

Guest guest
Hi !!! I completly agree with enjoying the eyes GOD gave you because you are unique and part of a very special group!!! My eyes are blue, but my right eye is mostly brown about 3/4 of it. I was also born with my eyes this way. I was never made fun of because of my eyes, but get alot of " did you know your eye is a different color? " I just tell them it is my birthmark. Or I get " I used to have a dog that had different colored eyes " But basically everyone who notices, think my eyes are amazing!!! Keep in touch!!! Guest guest
Anybody see that now people are going to surgeons to have their eye color changed?? It was on a show called The Doctors. A person with heterochromia had dye injected to his eye to match the color of his other eye. One guy went from brown to blue eyes. It was amazing yet why would you ever want to do that?? The risks are so high to something going wrong and ending up blind. Plus these people are traveling to third wprld countries to have it done. As most people on here, I embrace the uniqueness that was given to me! Guest guest
I think it's utterly crazy! My mother had only one eye, and one thing she really inculcated into my raising was to take care of my eyes. To this day, if someone throws a ball at me, I throw my hands up! LOL I wouldn't make a good ball player. I love the differences in people! Would you want only brown bids, or roan horses? Only white dogs or gray kittens? No! Variety really is the spice of life. I don't want to look like everyone else!
