Guest guest
Hello, My child is currently in ECSE Autism program and next school year he will be in Non-Cat ECSE program. Current SLP is BCBA and used ABA techniques to teach Speech goals for my son, which really worked out great. We tried regular Speech therapists privately and in school last year, but their strategy of teaching didn't help my son at all. Now we are back to same problem, for upcoming school year. So my question is, is there any way I can request the school for the Speech therapist with BCBA (or BCABA) certification, cos' their techniques are working with my son? Is there any law in IDEA that states that child's needs should be considered by allocating the related services staff? Thanks Krishna
