Guest guest
A few thoughts -- you've probably tried some of these but I know first hand with that screeching it can be hard to think. The only thought I have an the exersize is low blood sugar? How are his minerals? -- zinc, chromium, molybenum all get used up pretty quickly at different time, stress, virus etc. How about adding Yeast Aid (Kirkmans) sometimes I give DS 4 caps 2 x per day. Can you do all the diflucan at once, like a.m. for a bigger punch, give strong probiotics later in the day, and natural antifungals/antibacterials late in the day or add enzymes like Candex or Candidase (away from the probiotics.) I know, it seems like I'm chasing them with pills all day. Take care. > > Hi Everyone. > > I'm going a little crazy with my son. I cannot seem to control his yeast. Eating *anything* seems to make him hyper. But even worse is exercise. If he goes out to the park or for a walk, he gets so freaking crazy when he gets back that he's unbearable. He's LOUD (the vocal stim becomes a shriek that is so loud and so high pitched that my eardrums throb. And it becomes way more frequent - several times per minute), chews on everything, and is just into everything. He hangs upside down, he's rammy, etc. > > Any idea what the exercise could be stirring up? Sometimes no-fenol enzymes work on it. Like tonight, he was off the wall and my husband gave him a couple of no-fenols to chew. Within 10 minutes, he calmed right down. His stomach wasn't empty. He'd just eaten supper (homemade gluten-free pizza dough with " cream " sauce and Daiya cheese sub). > > The yeast protocol is 200mg Diflucan twice a day, sometimes with 100mg midafternoon if he's going loopy. And 2500mg biotin twice a day. > > >

It wouldn't surprise me. I have a grass allergy. I'll do taurine first. He's supposed to take that anyway, and I haven't gotten it into him yet. >> Any idea what the exercise could be stirring up? Not a bad idea, but he's hyper and happy. He's not miserable or tired. I've tried feeding him too, and it doesn't help. Maybe I should get a kit and test him. >How are his minerals? -- zinc, chromium, molybenum all get used up pretty quickly at different time, stress, virus etc. Haven't been checked lately. But we can check it out in the new year. >How about adding Yeast Aid (Kirkmans) sometimes I give DS 4 caps 2 x per day. There's something in it he's allergic to. Enzymes. Yes. I'm going to add them. For sure. Thanks. >I know, it seems like I'm chasing them with pills all day. >Take care. Heh. Yeah, syringes full of stuff here. The most I have seen biotin is 5mg capsules. When I was giving 20mg 3x per day, that was four 5mg capsules 3x per day. You are giving 100 capsules? If not, check the dose. Did you mean mcg instead of mg? If so, divide by 1000. For example, if you are giving 2500mcg, that means 2-1/2 mg. I was giving 20mg per dose. Always be careful of your dosing. Guest guest
Oh yikes, I know what you're dealing with. The hyper behavior you're describing is enough to send a parent over the edge! That's a pretty healthy dose of diflucan. Only thing I could suggest is considering that maybe his strain of yeast needs a different yeast fighter. We tend to mix them up, and some work better at different times than others. We've used oil of oregano, grapefruit seed extract, capryllic acid, nystatin, lots of probiotics, etc. The other thing I might add is that sometimes we thought my son had uncontrolled yeast (because of his behaviors) but it was actually out of control bacteria. Usually, bacteria corresponds with mean, aggressive behavior, but my son would act yeasty, but then his tests would come back high for bacteria. We used a lot of vanco for that, but over-the-counter stuff we've used is olive leaf extract and others I can't remember right now. All the best! You are correct, they are mcg. Sheesh. That'll teach me. I have seen them in 20mg capsules though. I'll have to get him to get those. Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't have noticed for another 3 weeks or so.
