Guest guest
Hello, I have been a member of this board for several months lurking around and learning from your expertise. We have been using biomed procedures with our five year old son, diagnosed with Asperger's and possible attachment disorder. All of the following issues have been a problem; however, about a month ago they intensified: increased verbal stim, hyper, aggressive behaviors, violent rages, moody (mad at the world attitude),severe control issues, crying melt-downs, unfocused, looking for trouble, acting like a toddler, frequent urination, sleep issues, sensory issues, etc. . . In mid January, we reluctantly put him on an antibiotic for an ear infection. (We waited six days and the infection did not go away.) About four days after the last dose of antibiotic, his behaviors intensified. We started Diflucan Feb 1st and slowly worked up to 200 mg. We have seen no changes in behavior; in fact things just keep getting worse. His allergies are worse. He is also sick again and has another ear infection. In addition, for the past month he continues to wet himself, once or twice daily. We went to the DAN doctor this week and he seemed a little confused about what to do. He thought we should have seen some positive changes by now with the Diflucan. He is thinking that the antibiotic may have stirred up the clostridia, which he tested positive for a year ago and recommended an antibiotic, which I don't recall the name, but it costs $1000 or OLE. He would also like us to eventually increase Diflucan to 400 mg, which seems really high. We brought up the frequent urination at the appointment and he gave us a handout on oxylates. Anyways, we left the appointment with a crazed kid and really no answers. He has been on the GF/CF/SF diet for over a year and we have tried many supplements. He has been either a negative or no responder to supplements. Here is his present protocol. Floragen3 Nordic Vitamin Moducare Digest NoPhenol Diflucan (200 mg) Magnesium (450 mg) Vit C (2000 mg) Nordic Cod Quercitin Zinc 30 mg SambuGuard Zyrtec (doctor just recommended) Sorry for the long post. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as we are about to give this all up. Thanks, Lana
