Some kids do okay with 3x per day [mine did], but others don't do well unless the ALA is given on a frequent dose protocol [every 3 hours]. You will need to determine your child's tolerance level for different doses. Start low, like 10-15mg. Do that for a few rounds. Then if things appear to be going okay, try 25mg for a few rounds. I increased the ALA when my son stopped showing improvements from the existing dose. For example, he would usually go 10 rounds with improvements, then 5 rounds of nothing.
