Guest guest
We really need everyone to round up votes!! With the autism rate, everyone knows someone with autism. We should be blowing this vote out of the water, instead we've slipped from 12th to 13th place. I sent out an email today to all friends, family, and teachers. A few clicks got away from me so some of you may have gotten it too. Sorry! Even if you don't use Facebook, you can help by sending this out to people who do! You could even sign up for a Facebook account, vote, then after it's all over, delete your account. Isn't a million bucks for autism worth it??? Here is the letter I sent to everyone. I used the 1 in 110 figure because that is what is on the NAA page. Hi Everyone, Chase Bank is running a program called Chase Community Giving. They are going to allow Facebook members to decide which 5 organizations get one million dollars each!! The National Autism Association is in the running and can really use the money. Here are some interesting funding facts: Fundraising by the Government: Leukemia Affects 1 in 25,000 / Funding- $310 million. Muscular Dystrophy Affects 1 in 20,000 / Funding- $175 million. ' Pediatric AIDS Affects 1 in 8,000 / Funding $394 million Juvenile Diabetes Affects 1 in 500 / Funding $130 million. Autism... Affects 1 in 110 / Funding- $15 million So as you can see, Autism is greatly under funded. A million dollars will make a big difference for the NAA. You can help with one minute of your time and a few clicks. If you have a Facebook account, log in and click on the link below _Moms for Autism - Vote Today!_ (http://nationalautismassociation.org/chase/moms.htm) _http://nationalautismassociation.org/chase/moms.htm_ (http://nationalautismassociation.org/chase/moms.htm) and click on the vote button. Just a few clicks and you have helped!!! The NAA is currently in 13th place. We need to get them into the top 5 to get the money. Isn't this face worth a minute of your time and a few clicks? Thanks, and if you can, please pass along to anyone you know on Facebook. We can use all the help we can get. Thanks sign it and attach a recent really really cute picture of your child I sent it to about 150 people this morning. I have gotten back approx. 30 emails that said " DONE, hope it helps " Hopefully more will do it. Imagine if everyone on these lists got even 10 people to go and vote. I can't believe how few votes we have. Maybe once people get back to work on Monday we'll see more. I know a few people who really on go on a computer at work. Copy and paste the email I wrote, stick your kid's picture in there and hit send. C'MON WE CAN DO IT
