Hi Deborah,

This is what I've known and this is most likly why so many products have

protease and cellulase in them, for breaking down and managing yeast.. The

Cellulase hydrolyzes the chitin of a fungal or yeast cell, breaks it down. The

Protease breaks-down the protein core of the same cells reducing the effects of

" die-off " . I don't know how firmiliar you are with " die-off " but without taking

an enzyme with protease in it, it can be pretty severe, depending on the person.

Most people even along with the yeast managing enzyme (cellulase & protease)

will take another enzyme supplement with high potency protease in it. The

die-off can happen when the cellulase breaks down the cell and releases the

toxins into your system. If there isn't protease there to break down the toxins,

you'll start to feel the " die-off " reaction, which can be a number of not good

feelings, for me it was flu-like symptoms. I personally took for every 1

Candidase, 2 Virastop. Virastop was my high potency protease blend enzyme. This

helped tremendously. I can't tell you how horrible the " die-off " was so I was

sooo happy to find that the protease took that away. Of course as well you'll

want to read up on the candida diet - there's tons of foods that will feed the

yeast that we don't realize.
