Guest guest
ok thanks. My son is driving us all crazy. Started kirkman's yeast aid yesterday. Had previously been giving only probiotics. Yeast aid contains 500mg. C;, 900mcg. biotin; 70mcg. selenium; 200mg. ole; 200mg. Pau d' Arco Extract; 100 mg. goldenseal; 100 mg. carrylic acid; 25mg. cranberry; and 100mg. oregano. What am I missing?  I only recently connected some of the behaviors to yeast--touching himself, insomnia, sensory, touching people, but couldn't find anything that specified a yeast protocol. I knew that you had something on your website, but couldn't remember how to get to it.  Thanks Again, D.  From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: Re: Son can't keep from touching us - what is it? What am I missing? At my house, the vitamin C and OLE would have *increased* the yeast. Try increasing the biotin and oregano with separate supplements. Guest guest
ok. Giving 3 billion L. Acidophilus 1 x day, and yeast aid 2 x day. That's it as far as yeast is concerned. I will add this to what I'm already giving. Thanks Bunches for your help. Drissia From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: Re: Son can't keep from touching us - what is it? Guest guest
I am sorry to sound so ignorant, but as I am trying to add so many protocols, I don't know how to get my son to take them. We add quite a bit to juice, but some can't be mixed with juice and he picks up on the taste of everything. Even in juice he won't drink it as he says it has " sand " in it. > > > > > > Increase by how much? Guest guest
Dana, Â Since I started given the stuff for yeast (biotin and yeast aid)Â his bm's have changed dramatically. They have become yellow, web-like and fluffy. Is this yeast or something else. Â Â We also had a few days where we couldn't stand to be around him. Hyperactivity, pacing, awake all night, not able to get enough to eat, aggressive. Is this related? Will the behavior get worse as we go along? We haven't seen these behaviors in a long time. Somehow it will be easier if it's all related and will eventually diminish. Â Thank you for all your help. They have become yellow, web-like and fluffy. Is this yeast or something else. Sounds like yeast spilling out. It can spill out because it is overgrowing, or because it is dying off and coming out. Because you are giving yeast control supplements, it is probably dying off. > We also had a few days where we couldn't stand to be around him. Hyperactivity, pacing, awake all night, not able to get enough to eat, aggressive. Is this related? The excessive eating, can be a sign that the yeast is fighting back and wanting him to eat foods that feed it. The hyper, pacing, awake, and aggressive sound like an overgrowth issue. Try increasing the biotin. There are items in Yeast Aid that tend to " increase " yeast. If you believe it is die off, try giving activated charcoal about 45 minutes after the Yeast Aid. Guest guest
Debra, To get my son to take his nedicines/supplements we played hardball! I told him at age 4, that either he would get one chance to take it or I would give it to him. Well, unflavored nystatin tastes really awful, even with sweeteer, so he chose not to swallow it. I then made him lay back, held his mouth and made sure he swallowed. Drastic, but necessary. He did it every day after that. Never had to do it again. I am one of those moms who is very sensitive to my kids, always doing things for them, generally spoiling them - but I won't budge on meds. They are too important! Now he takes more awful suuplements, but in a spoonful of jam - he tolerates them. Juice just doesn't disguise enough sometimes. Try a spoonful of honey as well. Hope this helps, Susi

Guest guest
The Oraflo pill cup worked wonders for my son with mild/moderate autism. My youngest learned to swallow the pills at age 4 1/2 with it as well. However, I know others who had no luck with it. It seems to depend on the child and possibly their level of sensory defensiveness and gag reflex.
