Guest guest
Try Vitamin b shots! The number 1 thing, more than gfcf. for speech for us has been shots! Look on utube under vitamin b shots under a guy named challenger . This guy does this video of his son before the shot and after. It is amazing. I also found Kirkmans Super Nu Thera (vitamin B ) also helps with language. The Nu THera pill while easy on stomach helped a tiny bit but no where near as much as the Super Nu Thera pill .. Warning Vitamin B can cause hyper behavior if dose is too high or first two weeks while getting adjusted. I would up dose slowly. Vitamin B is also the good mood pill. It should help with mood swings. I take it for PMS. Also music helps with speech/language . Songs with repetitive lyrics, especially other kids voices, like nursery rhyme songs or songs like, " We wish you a merry Christmas. " One of my friend's kids talks really well and she swears by a music class with lots of singing. Upbeat Music also helps with moods. Has your son had speech therapy? Schools offer it free but also medical insurance will pay if your son is delayed enough. Get a prescription from your doctor. What about a play group ? The regional center can pay for a play group that will help him be socialized with kids. With my high functioning aspergers daughter, Scouts helped with socialization more than anything. Riding in the car with other kids and taking field trips with the Scouts was excellent. The scouts really helped my daughter because they met once a week meeting for 90 minutes. THey took her out to a variety of different functions like a Halloween party,to play in the snow,hiking/camping,craft projects/amusement park, selling cookies. The kids see other for long periods of time like a whole day. A multiage /level pack or troop is good with a variety of kids at different levels to hang out with. Troops are not the same though. Some are more active than others so if the first one you try doesn't work, try another. Also maybe you can come early and help at a scout meeting and your son gets to play one on one with another kid. The vest or uniform helps the kids fit in a little. Lessons, like gymnastics .did not help with socialization because they want the kids to be quiet and listen to the teacher. It was a short time like 45 minutes and can be a little competitive. They do help you meet other parents to set up play dates or for the kid to develop a skill. INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!! !! I am learning a lot but now going in circles. Can someone help me as to where to start? Goal ----> I have a son that is 6. He is on adderral (ADHD) extended release, speech delay, and on the spectrum. The language is what is holding him back. He had monthly ear infections and on antibiotics from 18 months to 2.5 when the tubes went in the ears. When he was younger, he was milk intolerant & excema. Recently found out that he has gluten intolerance. He takes: adderral, cod liver, multivitamin, probiotic. He is a skinny 41 pounder.. QUESTIONS: I started him on the gluten ease. Is there anything else I need to be doing? I want to increase speech, reduce meltddowns, increase focus and increase socialization. All help is appreciated. DESPERATE!!! ! Dan stuff is not working and breaking my piggy bank. " I can do everything through him who gives me strength. " Philippians 4:

Guest guest
She does not like them. We sterilize the area with alcohol prior to injecting her. Push the needle in at an angle rather than straight in. Some people give a numbing agent like a cream or something . I don't really know much about this since we never went the numbing route. Some people people give it to kids in their sleep. We don't do that either. The vitamin nasal spray is good and you can give out the dose needed but it used to get spilled and it is hard to get the max dose in before school. The gfcf diet/scd in my opinion is way harder than a shot in the butt. It is over quick. I always feel bad telling my daughter she can't have this or that other kids are eatting. She sneaks food the other kids leave around. We have three other kids in the house. The other kids get resentful that we don't have pizza or go out to Panda Express because of all the soy in the food. It is a little shot and way easy even compared to sticking vitamins down an unwilling child who won't open their mouth or spits part of it up. Shots are easy once you get used to them. They are way less time consuming than coaxing icky medicine down. My daughter might cry before hand but then she doesn't even realize I gave it to her. I have to tell her I already gave it to you! The needle is small. From: Debra <debgonzalez@...> Subject: Re: HOW DO I START? Guest guest
Hi, MB12 shots have helped my son so much. He is 8, high func., and has done DAN! for 4 years. I resisted giving shots, as I didn't want to do that to him! As soon as we went through all the DAN! protocol except mB12 and Valtrex we started both. WOW! Valtrex really helped him jump ahead and progress. mB12 helped him through his anger issues, and I can tell he is detoxing. Our problem was, the shots were disappearing after 24 hours. They leave a little " pocket " of pink medicine on the bottom - his was gone. I reread my instructions, checked my angle for injection etc. My son is very thin and has basically no fat there - so I shoot it in at almost a horizontal angle every day.Ourr doc says it's fine as long as he needs them. I knew it was working on the 3rd day when he asked for his " pinch " - he said it made him feel strong. I know they work well! Good luck, Susi
