My family has been on Trienza for a while now, but I want to start my toddler on some chewable enzymes. He seems to be completely NT thus far, however, he has had minor signs of IgG food issues like the rest of us. The only reactions that I am sure of at this point have been corn and chocolate, but we're on a fairly restricted diet already for my other kids so it's hard to tell what his exact issues might be. He has gotten red ears from phenolic foods on a few occasions just recently so I am thinking No-Phenol chewable, but I can't decide whether to go with Zyme-Prime or Peptizyde chewables. Money is an issue so I'd rather not do all 3. Is there another quality brand chewable out there that would cover the general bases? Thanks, Grace
Guest guest
I have been told by Dr Houston that they are working on making a chewable Trienza which may be available as soon as May. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! Guest guest
Grace: Have you tried opening a TriEnza into juice for him? At one time we used hte chewables outside the house, but mostly i have just mixed them into juice since my son was 3. Also, if you need help deciding on what to give him, you can call at Houtons...she has her own 800# you can get from the office. Remember too they will send you free samples to try out first to be sure your child will chew them up. The AFP are not as tasty as the other two...it was recommended to give it last and that always worked for us (my son is on all 3). If you want to try the trienza in juice, you mght want to just start with 1/3 to 1/2 of the capsule. Guest guest
Woohoo! I can finally get the enzymes in without the pain of breaking apart capsules and trying to get the contents to blend into the almond milk without looking lumpy and nasty. My son WILL NOT swallow the capsules. Guest guest
That's wonderful news! It makes things so much simpler to be able to work with what we're already doing. I can handle opening a capsule till June! Thanks so much for all the replies! ~Grace > Subject: Re: Good all around chewable enzymes for a toddler? > > > Housten's Trienza will be in a chewable by June 1st.
