Guest guest
Let me first start by saying - I have KNOW idea what is wrong with our son we just know what certain foods do to his behavior. We have an appointment with what we hope is our first real " DR. " to help us with our situation as our regular pediatrician is worthless when it comes to this matter. Our sons symptoms are pointing leaning towards Extreme Phenol Sensitivity, Candida, or even Leaky Gut. The Dr. we are meeting with is a " doctor of chiropractic medicine and a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist. " He was recommended to us by Dr. Devon Houston of Houston Enzymes himself. Now I am not going to let him talk us into his chiropractic services but I think him being a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist gives us hope. Our first meeting is next week. SOOOOOooooo...... Your wondering why the title? Well here is the short list of what our son reacts to. When we mean react - we mean SEVER MOOD SWINGS FOR THE WORSE!!! Sodium Benzoate Most artificial dye's Cinnamon Apples Blueberries Syrup Orange Juice Etc..... Here is what we have tried with QUESTIONABLE RESULTS. Epson Salt Baths No-Phenol Enzymes When our child has a Behavior Breakdown Episode we have been giving him about 4 oz. of Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail Ingredients: Filtered Water, Cranberry Juice from Concentrate, Cane or Beet Sugar, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) (NOT THE OCEAN SPRAY CRANBERRY JUICE WITH HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP) It is amazing to see our child go from fighting with his little brother to playing nicely withing 30 minutes of the juice when he is having a Bad Boy Episode. Now we have found that if we give him Cranberry Juice to much or to often it doesn't work. Ok... Now down to the yogurt. This was discovered on accident. My wife started buying a Organic Yogurt from the store and our son has been asking it for dessert after dinner every night. His behavior has been REMARKABLY GOOD as long has he has his yogurt. We ran out of yogurt and went a few days without him having it and the OLD BAD BOY returned. We got him back on the yogurt and so far so GOOD!!! YEA US!!! I see alot of you trying this and trying that and some of you give your vitamins/enzymes/supplements mixed in Yogurt (GOOD) and some of you mix your stuff in Apple Sauce (BAD). Is there a chance - just a chance that the Yogurt is what is helping your child - not all the stuff your mixing in it? I know that some of you cannot give for child Yogurt for Lactose reasons but for those that can. What do you think? Mixing your enzymes in NEON YELLOW DYE INJECTED APPLE FLAVORED YOGURT might just be a problem. Do Google/Wikipedia searches for Yogurt and Cranberries and you will find TONS of info on the health benefits of both. Regardless - we will let you know how our Dr.s appointment goes. Any comments, suggestions, ideas, thoughts, rants, or criticism is welcome! The Brinson's
