Guest guest
Hi Dana & All, we have started giving OLE,PARAGONE & GSE to our 3yrs old son to treat his virus, parasite & yeast. After 2-3 days of starting all this his constipation get worse & he is also showing some yeasty behaviour like moving in circles. Any idea like how much GSE I can give it to him to keep yeast in control & to relief him from contipation. Currently,we are giving him 4drops of GSE twice a day,Probiotics & 1000mcg of biotin( we are not able to increase his dose of biotin because of constipation)to deal with yeast & Aloe Vera & magnesium for constipation. We also found Helicobacter Pylori in his stool test. Any suggestion how to deal with this?
Guest guest
We're dealing with similar issues. However, my 3 yrs old is on a much lower dose - 1/4 drop of GSE in the morning and 600 mcg biotin at dinner time. Dana explained to me that biotin uses magnesium and it can cause depletion, hence constipation. Also yeast in itself may cause constipation. We've added magnesium as a separate supplement and now deal with BM accidents which have not happen to him in like 6 months... Phew - it's like a seasaw - something gets better (yeast in our case), constipation and BM control got worse. So, perhaps you may want to try lowering the dose and adding activated chorcoal (2 hours away from supplements) to help with die off effects (like moving in circles). I also heard that biotin is more gentle than OLE or GSE. Perhaps you might want to try just biotin (wich activated chorcoal) and see if it is less of a stress on his body? Sorry can't be more help as trying to figure it out myself right now. I'm sure Dana will have more specific suggestions. > > Hi Dana & All, > we have started giving OLE,PARAGONE & GSE to our 3yrs old son to treat his virus, parasite & yeast. Guest guest
We used mastic gum for my dh's H pylori and it worked well had to do it for a month instead of 2 weeks though. For GSE we used as much as 20 drops per day (divided doses) for my son at times. ( between ages of 2-4 years). As far as biotin is concerned the recommended amount for yeast is generally 5mg 2x per day. You want to be careful giving to much biotin as it is a catch 22. According to Shaw, Biotin is a B vitamin and as such it feeds yeast, however, it is essential because it prevents the little benign buggers from mutating into the really icky barbed colonizing form that causes all the problem like leaky gut and are so hard to kill. We never had a big constipation problem so I'll digress to someone else for help with that. Vit C? When my son was doing anti-virals, it took at least 20mg biotin 3x per day, plus 3-4 GSE tablets [equivalent of approx 50 drops GSE] 3x per day, to keep the yeast under control. >>1000mcg of biotin( we are not able to increase his dose of biotin because of constipation) Biotin needs magnesium for proper absorption, so if it is using up all the magnesium, it will be constipating. Try adding or increasing magnesium, see if that helps. At first, I had to give over 1000mg magnesium with the biotin, but I was able to reduce the magnesium over time. > We also found Helicobacter Pylori in his stool test. Guest guest
Activated charcoal (2 capsules open and dumped in a drink) given 2 hours away from any supps/ vit/ minerals helped my sign with die off effects including gas. However, if the tx dose was too high and the die off effects were too sever, we had to lower the dose as well. Good luck and a virtual hug to your boy! > > If it is die off, anything that we give to help his abdominal pain. >
Guest guest
> > > Dana thats 20mg biotin right? IS that for real? 1mg = 1000mcg so thats like 20 (1000mcg) tablets!! I just want to make sure I am converting this correctly. Your conversion is correct. I use 5mg capsules, so 20mg biotin is 4 capsules.
