What are the symptoms you are trying to reduce? What other supps/meds

do you give, if any?

I have given much more than you are giving, altho personally I would

increase the biotin first.

You can give all three together if you want.

It does not matter. It might be *somewhat* more effective on an empty

stomach, but it is also rather harsh on the stomach if it is empty. I

usually gave it with food, and it worked well.

Thank you for your feedback Dana,

He is having the following:

2 Trienza with all meals

Morn:

4 Nordic Berries

We alternate 2 tsp of NN CLO one day and 8 DHA Junior the next

1 Kirkland Calcium/Mag: 500/80mg

1 Biotin 5000mcg

11/2tsp Natural Calm Magnesium 307mg

Aft:

3 drops of GSE

1 No Fenol

Eve:

11/2 tsp Mag 307mg

Before Bed:

1 Culturelle

1 Renew Life Probiotic

As far as what we are trying to address:

My son is a pretty high functioning (was not always HF), 7yo, current

issues: focus/attention, video talk (actually this is really decreasing),

starts talking about something like you already know what he is saying - no

lead in, excitable with physical exercise, desire to play with other kids

but lacks initiation and ability to maintain play - doesn't really know how

to play with others. Sensitivity to singing. Zones out.

I have some Betaine HCL and mB12 sublingual to start and I also want to do a

viral protocol but was wanting yeast to be under control first, we'd like to

do the viral protocol over Christmas break.

As always THANK YOU

These were all addressed at my house with anti-fungals, anti-virals,

and B1/B12/folic/carnitine.

Same list as above.

If we aren't seeing much change do you think we should keep increasing the

GSE? He's currently at 2 drops GSE 2xday on the weekends and 3 drops 1xday

during the week + 10,000mcg Biotin. Im trying to decide if I should keep

increasing or try something else, either mB12 (sublingual) or viral

protocol.

Try giving that dose of biotin 2x per day, with magnesium. If you

still don't notice changes, try something else.

  • 2 weeks later...

We would never fit GSE in if we did it on an empty stomach. We do it at

mealtime, it was 3 times a day, now we're down to twice a day, once at breakfast

and once at dinner. Since we do early morning anti-virals and late afternoon

antivirals, this works out nicely to address the compounding of yeast issue the

antiviral effect has on the system. We've gone as high as 15 drops for my son,

but we've worked down to 10. We began at 3 drops for him when he was 3, but

worked up, until we hit the point that we saw benefits. Then we slowly worked

our way back down the dosing ladder, keeping only enough to see benefits. We

went down below 10 drops and were at 7 drops for awhile, but I thought, I'd

rather drop the lunch dose completely since there were no antivirals given prior

to lunch anymore, and his lunch had sufficient protein to not cause a yeast

issue. This meant to see benefits we had to work our way back up to 10 drops for

the breakfast and dinner dose. For us, behavior is a big indicator of yeast

issues. So, dinner, if there was a fight to get him to eat, contrariness, red

ears, we knew we needed to up the GSE dose and enzymes until he was fine. 10

drops did it. We stayed there because we are addressing the yeast issue not in

terms of attack it only, but in terms of boosting the rest of his immune system

so he can keep the yeast in check himself without antiyeast supplements. We've

had success in that it takes less and less, we've reduced the number of drops

and the times during the day that it is required. But, we are using it as a

means of support for his body, not treatment in and of itself. My feeling is

that when the viral component and bacterial components are in check, his IgA

will increase, his gut flora will improve and he will be able to keep the yeast

in check without need of antiyeast supplements. Increasing his IgA was

considered impossible by the Doctors we consulted, but as of last October, we've

had success. His IgA is climbing and we see it in so many physical, cognitive

and behavioral improvements that sometimes I stop and laugh out loud when I

think about it.

GSE, Biotin, and Magnesium questions

We started GSE, no fenol, biotin. Currently we are at 3 drops with 1

NoFenol in the afternoon. He takes 5000mcg of Biotin with 11/2 tsp of

natural calm magnesium in the morning. And another 11/2 tsp of just natural

calm in the evening. We've gotten to this point over the last week. Im not

really seeing a difference. I am wondering up to how high we can/should go

with GSE? Im also wondering, for ease, if we can give the GSE *in* the

magnesium drink with another Biotin? I am doing this with him as I have

yeast as well and I haven't felt a difference either, other than last night

I felt a bit achy and I had switched from two drops twice a day to 3 drops

one time last night. Doing GSE two times a day is impossible with school.

GSE should be on an empty stomach is that correct?

Thanks!
