MMR - Individual vaccines

Hello Everybody,

I have been trying to find the separate vaccines for MMR. I called Hopewell

pharmacy and they do not have any. I called MERCK and they told me that they

stopped manufacturing the separate ones permanently as they do not have enough

resources to do so. I also talked to my Pediatrician about ordering one for us

and she said that they do not do it anymore and its patient responsibility to

get them.

At this point I am lost. If anybody out there have any suggestions in this

regard, I would greatly appreciate it.

I heard from my husband, who owns a pharmacy, and also from our nutritionist,

that the separate M, M, and R vaccines will be available some time in 2012. I am

assuming it is MERCK again who will be making them but I'm not positive about

that. I am hoping we can hold out and wait that long for my DD who is 17 months,

but my son needs boosters to start kindergarten next fall. We live in WV, one of

2 states that does not allow any exemptions. If I get anymore info I'll pass it

along!
